Thought it might be helpful for the occasional new-to-the-forum-viewer to see the original post, so I decided to turn it into mainly a keeping-abreast-of-what-the-modern-day-secret-combination-was-up-to-thread (and the primary forces that are countering it) -- along with occasional miscellaneous, general interest info -- just to keep the thread alive and accessible. But no, you will come across the occasional thread on the forum that has more views and posts.

What advice would you give a newbie to this site and posting?

My maternal grandparents were raised in the Medicine Hat/Bow Island area. My paternal grandparents were raised in the Taber area. I was raised 60 miles South of Lethbridge and 60 miles East of Cardston, close to the Montana border. I use a desktop PC. To newbies: if you have an unshakable testimony you'll be OK. Otherwise, beware. Those of many stripes frequent the forum -- some with questionable agendas.
