Too many unanswered questions re Swine Flu

• Why would the FDA and other governments allow the vaccines to be fast-tracked without being tested for safety?
  Why would the Federal Government give vaccine makers legal immunity to lawsuits resulting from people taking the vaccines?
  Why did this flu begin in the spring, when the vast majority of flu's begin in the winter?
  Why did this flu originate from Mexico, when the vast majority of flu's originate in Asia?
  Why are governments across the world talking about a mandatory vaccination program for a flu that has only killed about 300 people worldwide? (And even then it has almost never been the single contributing cause)
  Why would Baxter have applied for a patent on the H1N1 virus in August of 2008, when it wasn't even discovered until April of 2009?
  Why would the government allow Baxter to develop and distribute a vaccine, when they recently sent a shipment of Bird Flu vaccine to Europe containing LIVE bird flu?

Some Oklahoma children will get a swine flu vaccine before it is available to the public. If clinical trials go well, the vaccine could be available in limited supplies by mid to late fall, experts said. IPS Research in Oklahoma City is the first Oklahoma company to conduct the vaccination trials and will begin enrolling study patients Aug. 17, said IPS Research medical director Dr. Louise Thurman. The trials will test the vaccine’s effectiveness and whether or not it has negative side effects in patients. She anticipates about 200 children ages 3 to 8 will be able to enroll. Regarding the flu strain itself and the nature and history of such things... It is my understanding that with pandemics like Spanish flu etc.. that they make one round in a mild strain like in spring and then seem to nearly fade away only to mutate by fall for a 2nd round in a much more aggressive strain...

Also if you have had a flu in the last month in the US apparently its very likely that it was in fact the swine flu. Thing is many people get it and have a strain of it without risking death. How interesting would it be if by getting it now you were spared the full effects of the stronger one later.

In short such things are complicated but its round 2 you really want to look out for. As when pandemics happen they seem to happen during round 2 not round 1...

That's what we're hoping. Both my wife and kids came down with the flu when it came out here (my wife's school she works at was closed several days because a student had contracted it and brought it from Mexico).

Buy lots of vitamin D3, especially those who live in the northern half of the country. When flu season hits, everyone in my family will be taking it daily. I got a tip on lysine if the flu does strike. Apparently it has the ability to break the cell walls of many types of viruses, including the flu.

Thanks for the info. Ive found these gummy bear vitamins from target that taste like real gummy bears... so to say the least ive never had more vitamins in my body then i do now. I know this guy in DC who had a terrible flu about 2 weeks ago. He went in to get tested and the lab reports came back saying it was swine flu. Right now its actually quite common.
