New Feature: User Mention / Tagging

Testing this new feature that allows you to tag a specific user in your post. Please don't abuse this feature by spamming to a bunch of users.

This extensions add support for mentioning a user by starting to type a @ in the posting field.
Once you select a user from the dropdown, the [mention] BBCode will be inserted and after submitting the post it will create a notification to that user.

Testing: @Cruiserdude @Original_Intent @Durzan (Please let me know if you got a notification for this).

If anyone prefers not to receive notifications when someone mentions you, change your "Board preferences" here >>, and uncheck "Someone mentioned me ".

Thanks for responding. That's one of the reasons I had in mind for wanting to try this out. And sometimes when starting a new thread, maybe there is someone, or a few people, you really hope will see the post. That should be useful as long as it isn't abused.

It has always been possible to include only relevant portions in a reply, ideally indicating snipped segments somehow.

Does it interact with the friends/ foes list at all? Perhaps you could set it so your foes can't tag you or maybe have an option each user could opt to check that says "only users on my friends list may tag me"

They'd have to tag other people who set them as foes

If that option exists, I hope it can be used or not used. Sometimes I put people on a foe list because they go round and round with each other ad nauseum in a thread I'm otherwise interested in. It makes it easier to read the posts I want to read. I very rarely have someone on ignore who I genuinely don't like.
