Very good stuff. There has been a concerted effort to study and understand this, especially since Edward Bernays and his book, Propaganda.

What he says about flooding your senses with things that you care about I can testify to this regarding my Ezra's Eagle obsession, and that I am not just a passive observer but I am very engaged in working this out. I am so much happier and excited and feel that I am accomplishing something! Be involved in things you are passionate about!

41 minutes?!?!

It felt like just a few moments. . .

Seriously, when he talked about "watching a screen turns off your prefrontal cortex in like 90 seconds," I kept thinking about how I was watching a video and wondering what this video was doing to my brain.

Also, he spoke about our subconscious brain choosing safety through repetition, but in reality, the few time I successfully started to break through people's mental frameworks with truth, I got two different responses. One is a sort of quick head shake and then they move on. It appears to be something like erasing the last few moments and just starting a new conversation. The other is anger, and that anger can come quick and hot. The conversation usually ends with them exploding and sometimes then just leaving.

There is a bit of danger in waking people up.

Great video. I watched it twice and forwarded it to family members. Excellent information.

Very interesting video.

I have to wonder if he were to do an experiment like that on me, if it would work. The one with the influencers where they all posted very similar pictures on social media. Because my brain seems to work differently then other people’s brains. Lol

I also don’t drink alcohol or coffee. And have no desire to, so there is that.

The influencer experiment reminded me of a video I saw once. I think it was on the Oprah Winfrey show. But it was very similar. They had three groups of people who saw some subliminal messages on the way to the event. They saw a teddy bear, angels wings and I can’t remember what else. So the three groups all made similar “ads” that included a teddy bear, angel wings, etc. It’s kind of mind blowing.

Some things are super difficult to find on the internet now, at least for me. That Oprah video seems very hard to find.

"90 seconds"?? Is he kidding? I see it happening in less than 10 seconds. When you are standing right by someone and talking, and they don't here you, and then they listen to you after you nudge them and have no clue what you just said... 10 seconds. Compared to adults (however short or long the time), it's likely even faster for children.

I'm not really there with the "repetition" safety idea. However, there is trauma where the body links sensations to emotions and external stimuli (Pavlov's dogs). It can happen in one occurrence, and a whole bunch of repetition after that generally won't fix it.
