I don’t know. But Jeffrey Holland was called to be the acting president of the quorum of the 12. Interesting since he has not been well and had to take a couple months off.

Reluctant Watchman or Fred.
Either one could bring valuable perspective.
All in favor manifest it.

Reluctant Watchman would have to be rebaptized. I’m not sure about the others’ church membership status.

Well, I think most of us can agree on one thing. Only when we get true apostles of Christ, called by revelation and endowed with the power and authority and manifesting the gifts of the Spirit in great power, only then will it really even matter who sits in those red chairs.
Until then, this of no more consequence to me than a work office memo, telling me about a new executive way up in the corporation.
Yawn....

But… could you imagine what 20 unfettered minutes could do at the pulpit from general conference…

Richard S. Hutchins, executive director of pharmaceutical sciences at Pfizer.
It was his speed-dial status with the man upstairs that brought us the brand of godsend chosen by 4 out of 6 Utahans.

Don’t be surprised when they call an acting president for the acting president that is acting for the president because the president is in the first presidency.

Gérald Caussé became the 15th presiding bishop in the Church’s history in October 2015. Bishop Caussé is the third presiding bishop born outside the United States and the first for whom English is a second language.
W. Christopher Waddell was called to serve as First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric at the October 2020 general conference.
L. Todd Budge was sustained as Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric on October 3, 2020.
I would guess one of the Presiding Bishopric simply by nature of being close to the prophet for many years, but we'll see.
It is a pleasantly surprising thing that the info of who is being called doesn't leak out. People these days seem to shout from the rooftops every bit of private info they get, so it is nice when people are able to show some measure of self control

I also agree that it will be a member of the Presiding Bishopric. Hales, Wirthlin, Eyring came from there.
Or, Kim Clark or Eyring , Jr. Both were BYUI president's. Oaks, Holland, Bednar were all church university presidents. Hopefully, Kevin Worthen isn't among the possibilities.
I think those looking for a black or foreign apostle will be disappointed. The last two were DEI picks. I think this one will be white, and from the two groups I mentioned.

There are only 12 Apostles. They were called by Christ (with the exception of Judas replacement who was chosen by lots) and were with him from baptism to ressurrection.
(No, I do. It believe Paul was an apostle.)
Even in the Book of Mormon, Jesus called disciples, not apostles.
As for who the LDS will call to fill the administrative role, I would guess someone young, they are aging fast, but they need someone so solid they will remain TBM.
Not that it matters. They are so far in fulfilling Doctrine and Covenants 101 that all that is left is utter destruction by their enemies and cleaning up by the Lord's true Servant.

Those three are all in - on board-proven yes men - they would fit right in

Waddell is my pick:
"Bishop Waddell received a bachelor’s degree in 1984 from San Diego State University. He also did postgraduate work in the Executive MBA program at BYU. Beginning in 1984 he worked with Merrill Lynch, where he became first vice president of investments."
He has shown himself to be a good and faithful servant of the company. He seems to enjoy the spotlight and he's relatively young.

I think Paul was actually a Seventy.
In NT times they were referred to as the Seventy Apostles.

Whoever it is...
There will be cries that it wasn't someone else, someone more like this or that particular group.
He/she will get doxed, and we will find out that a coworker didn't get along withhim/her. And that his/her cousin or uncle, or little brother is a child molester, gay activist, or even a....democrat.
