If Utah gives $200 million to save water, but

Doesn't know if any of the saved water made it to the Great Salt Lake, should they spend another $200 million to find out if the water simply sank into the ground?

This isn't a trick question. They actually spent more than that, and don't know. But it's only tax money sucked out of the lives of poor people, so who cares? It never even occurred to them that if God wanted more water, it would be there.

It might have been a better investment to give the $200 million to LDSFF members as we know the answer to the more important question: Why did Moroni drop his trumpet?

A drought is just another crisis.
Every crisis is an opportunity.
An opportunity to spend and pass bills.

This is the perfect example of why government is an evil, and that it was known by the founding fathers of the United States that government is an evil.

And collect bills, too. ;)
