“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
That’s the scripture where he’s getting the idea from.
I know.
However, this is misinterpreted in my view. I have heard it repeatedly stated over the years that this means we are commanded to love ourselves. However, it is actually acknowledging that we already love ourselves (we feed ourselves, clothe ourselves, try to create favourable conditions for ourselves) and is simply pointing out that we should do that for our neighbours too.
Many actually hate themselves, even some that claim they love themselves, or love their neighbor as themselves.

Oh and clearly queer, he probably said it in the video but it was put on the cutting floor bc.. well you know we have to slowly indoctrinate the Church.
If he is, and if they indoctrinate, what is that to you?

"How/why did the KJV translate "arsenokoitai" as "abusers of themselves with mankind"?
In 1 Cor. 6:9 Paul condemns arsenokoitai, among others. Translations of this word vary, but the KJV has it as "abusers of themselves with mankind."
I know arsenokoitai literally means something like bed-males. How did the KJV translators get "abusers of themselves with mankind" out of that? And what exactly does "abusers of themselves with mankind" mean? I know a lot of modern translations give that word as "homosexual", but is that what the KJV translators thought? Is this "self-abuse" as a euphemism for masturbation, but in the company of another man?"

Contrary to what others think, some surveys indicate that only a fraction of male homosexuals indulge in buggery and some won't go in for it at all. "Masturbation in the company of another man" is what a fair percentage of them do.

They disappeared around the time of the Covid claptrap. There were some propaganda videos about it that were getting colossal downvotes. A hundred times the likes etc. Nowadays the downloaders are the only ones to see them.

This business about loving yourself is false doctrine.
Jesus never said it.
He certainly didn't, but I suppose it depends how one defines these terms. They are too open to interpretation. "Love" is misdefined as sexual activity nowadays... but self-love need not be a bad thing. I think we conflate the positive connotations of such a phrase with selfishness and narcissism which are both negative forms of self-attention.
Genuine self-love is a good thing. Too many people hate themselves and inflict that self-loathing on others. (Leftists and some Greens are especially guilty of this.) Real self-love is looking after yourself responsibly, not giving into despair and abuse, not to mention looking after your own spiritual welfare. An alcoholic or a gambler is not loving themselves but abusing themselves and is deeply unhappy.
Indeed only through seeing ourselves through God's eyes can we love our selves properly- otherwise it is just treating others as we treat ourselves, and if that is the rule some of us treat ourselves pretty badly. I am convinced it is the the purpose of the first commandment to Love God with all we are. To do so we must get out of our own way and let Him love us- we have to die to the own image we have of ourselves and accept His image upon us- this transforms us (we love beause He loved us first). When we see with that new image, in humility we see the new image all others potentially have, seeing with they eyes of God. We can love them as God does because we love ourselves through the eyes of GOd, by humbling ourselves and accepting His mercy. It is the only way in my view. Otherwiise we love our neighbor in selfishness, boasting and self-seeking which is not love at all, but deception under the cover of "love."

Jesus didn’t die on the cross so that we would love ourselves as we are. He shed His blood to cover our sins and save us from the rot within us. To accept His love is to give Him ourselves, die to ourselves, and let Him nail our sins to His cross, which only He can do for us. And then we pick up our cross and follow Him, not because we love ourselves, but because He loved us first, and we love Him. I mean, the gospel is really very simple and we’ve seen it so twisted into a perversion that sounds good, but feels rotten and heals no one. It’s really quite a cruel thing to pervert the gospel of the one who can heal the broken-hearted and bind up our wounds.

He’s right - you can’t give from an empty cup. If your cup is empty, you have to fill it so you can share. But he’s wrong about what to fill it with. We must fill it with the love of Christ, not love of self. That’s the life-transforming difference. This distortion of the gospel and love of Christ is TRAGIC.

It's not "self abuse" because it's "with mankind", therefore not something done alone.

Here's one such comment:
"If now (mortal existence) is the time for us to prepare to meet God, then why are you not seeking joy and happiness in this life now? Men (humans) are that they might have joy. And humans are not meant to be alone. You cannot come to God on judgement day all sad and lonely. I don't think that is coming "prepared" to meet Him. Now is the time to prepare. So please go find your life partner and experience the fullness of joy by having a companion you love and can share life with. Now is the time."

Aye, but you must love yourself first.
Sadly, this cannot be explained other than "love thyself".
If you don't get it, you don't.
But for many it doesn't matter.
Simple kindness and being fair, is enough.

Who said anything about electro-shock therapy? Electro-shock therapy was (and is-b/c it is STILL used) is absolutely barbaric.
If people really cared so much about electro-shock therapy they would advocate that it be completely banned; but they only bring it up b/c it was used against homosexuals decades ago....but who gives 2 flips about the FACT that is is STILL used by modern "doctors" today!!
Maybe you should actually look at who it is used against...or do you just care about being stylish and virtue signaling.
