So crazy. I found it interesting he had family members on the board who let him leave without consequence other than leaving OUR. I honestly think the Brian Black alias (Tim's alias) helped him compartmentalize good Tim from bad Tim quite nicely. Tim Ballad didn't break covenants, Brian did... He's still responsible of course but I think that happened. I also found it interesting WW (I think) mentioned how Tim's wife arrived in BVI as a surprise and Tim ignored WW (ruse wife) and how odd that was to watch. If it was all professional why the cold shoulder when his wife shows up for a week?
I haven’t read that yet, which lawsuit was that info in (of his wife visiting)?
Also, regarding “Brian Black,” reminds me of a certain “Pierre Delecto.” Wonder if he’s had his 2nd anointing and so he thinks he’s good? That or the crazy blessings he was given by Thom Harrison (author of Visions of Glory) gave him greater delusions of grandeur making him a savior in his own eyes. Those blessings can be found on pages 225 (exhibit N) and 229 (exhibit O) of the amended lawsuit

I read the legal documents. The Tim Ballard fiasco is really disgusting. Tim was basically living a double life and i feel sorry for the donors who gave him one penny. Tim created many more victims than he supposedly saved. Everyone who was conned into donating has been victimized by tim Ballard....just disgusting. Glenn Beck should have vetted Tim better and never should have introduced him to his audience...but now that Glenn has been a party to this inadvertent fraud, he should apologize to every one who ever donated to this and bust the thing wide open...but I'm sure he'll keep quiet and hope this just blows over. It's amazing how well Tim Ballard kept this thing rolling along for as long as he did and that just makes it worse. Good research Bonhoeffer.
I am equally disgusted by these findings. I am having a hard time believing that GB was in the dark of all of TB’s nefarious actions. Did he also use the church’s info to target wealthy members to donate to his charities, ie Nazarene fund, mercury one? GB went on “ops,” what was his experience? Did he think it was reasonable or responsible to have the only source of info coming from a freaking psychic???
Also of note, I’ll embarrassingly admit I’ve been a faithful listener to GB for a number of yrs now but quit that devotion recently as he’s been pushing a “return to the covenant” narrative, one that both he & TB started pre-Covid. While covenants aren’t wrong and bad, I don’t trust or appreciate the grift that’s involved anymore nor the history behind it as it most likely was spawned from the evil book Visions of Glory which seems to be the catalyst behind Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow, TB, and most recently the AZ family abducting 16 yr old Blaze. The extreme preppers believe Zion will be established in eastern Idaho. GB has a big ranch in eastern Idaho and his company had been selling Visions of Glory on its website until only recently.
Visions of Glory should have its own sub forum but I refuse to read it bc I’m honestly afraid of demonic possession. I know 2 people personally who experienced strange voices in their heads, strange “visions” and marriages that almost ended as a result of reading that trash so I’m not touching it but there are plenty of podcasts, videos out there where others are analyzing it and it’s straight up scary.
Don’t waste your time reading visions of glory, it’s fake. The guy had a major savior complex and made it all up.
It seems to me that the church wants people to be afraid of demonic possession. With phrases like, “if they do not live up to every covenant made at this alter in this temple, they will be in my power” (the line from satan in the temple), its no wonder people get scared. Don’t fall for it.

With your logic everyone who breaks temple covenants turns evil. Example: I broke my covenants not give all my time, money, talents to the Mormon church. What about people who stop attending and go on to live spiritual, moral lives? They’re under Satan’s power? What about people in the church who hide/hoard money and hide child abuse? They’re not under Satan’s power?

I still doubt he would have had the ordinance. I think it’s usually for older folks.

I’ve *heard* it’s reserved for people in the waning years of life because if they gave it to younger folks they haven’t paid enough lifetime tithing into the system yet and might become too laxed and less ambitious to rise in the ranks too early in life leaving money on the table.

Think about all of this. Tim Ballard has a known associate of Gordon Bowen, Russ Ballard, as his good friend, protector, and investor. He has Sean Reyes, a well documented scumbag as his attorney general thug. He has other members of the Q15 as friends and investors. He has billionaires coming on his immoral cosplay adventures. He worked for the CIA and Homeland Security. This smells like TB is a cabalist, just like Bowen, Hamblin, Romney, and Leavitt. How else would he get away with this much crap for so long?
After all, these are sophisticated people and would do whatever they needed to do to vet TB. So, I'm reasonably confident they knew exactly what Ballard was doing, and were more than fine with it. Romney and Bowen coming after him is probably just a family fight. That's why he might lose in civil court, but nothing will really come of all this.
I wonder who he angered and how for them to turn on him like this.

No one is immune to being evil that is why God sent jesus to forgive our evils if you keep your end of the covenants, dont u read the new testament?
You can live a good moral life and go to a glory in heaven but it wont be the celestial glory. God require u to be in covenant with him in order to enter the celestial, this is a mormon teaching so you cant argue it, you either believe it or not. You obviously dont believe it and thats ok, I know your position and dont need you to comment back.

no, no, no, i was given a vision of my inheritance of the celestial kingdom at age 19 when i was in my temple covenants with the lord. at age 38 i was breaking the law of chastity by continual sex with my ex wife, God showed me my current level of inheritance which was the terrestial kingdom. I lost the celestial path by breaking my covenants.
These things I know absolutely to be true. If I see you after this earthly life please slap me for being a bad boy.

Making your calling and election sure guarantees salvation in the Celestial kingdom of God, world's without end. However, unrepented sins will still have to be paid for to the utmost farthing in hell prior to exaltation. So there is no immunity from excommunication.
As a case in point, Elder Richard Lyman of the Twelve was excommunicated in the 1950's. However, as an apostle I think it's very likely he had received his second anointing.

Of course I don’t believe the notion that someone can have their calling and election made sure and then go about committing gross sins and be perfectly fine. That’s just stupid.

I didn't think Tim Ballard announced anything regarding a run for the senate. I understand there was a strong rumour based on something someone else said, but nothing from Tim himself. Did I miss something?
To clarify, Tim didn't announce, he had AG Reyes announce for him on Twitter.
AG never mentioned Tim in relation to a senate run.
Technically you are correct. He never said Tim's name but most people knew who Reyes was talking about in his September 13th tweet (see below). Reyes is a good friend of Tim's so it makes sense that he would know and even more sense for him to add fuel to the rumor fire by posting this 2 days before the Vice story was published.
Tim Ballard considers run for Senate amid renewed controversy
https://www.deseret.com/2023/9/15/23875 ... sus-christ
September 15th
Reyes twitter post linked in story above:
https://twitter.com/SeanReyesUT/status/ ... 37658?s=20
"That opens up an opportunity for a dear friend of mine who is a great conservative, patriot, and warrior to run and serve as the next Senator from Utah. This person will be making an announcement in the days to come and I will be standing alongside this servant leader on a journey to the United States Senate."
Last edited 3:24 PM · Sep 13, 2023
Why would Reyes walk back support for Ballard if he never mentioned supporting Tim in the first place? Reyes knew other people knew who he was talking about without saying Tim's name.
Sean Reyes 'deeply saddened' by Tim Ballard allegations, won't endorse in Senate race
https://www.ksl.com/article/50741118/se ... enate-race
"Alan Crooks, Reyes' general consultant, added, "In light of so many unanswered questions and concerns, AG Reyes will not be endorsing anyone in Utah's 2024 U.S. Senate race."
September 29th
Reyes helped establish a basis for everyone to defend Tim and say this drama isn't about actual wrongdoing by Tim but rather a political witch hunt designed to spread lies about Tim. This rumor was spread by Reyes 2 days before Vice. That is highly suspicious to me at least. If I was Tim looking for cover of my own wrongdoing you bet announcing a senate run would keep people fighting for me.
Vice could have had that story waiting in the can I suppose and waited to publish it until they saw him announce but they would have had to have known he would announce. I think that story took more than 2 days to investigate and prepare. Tim was kicked out of OUR for sexual harassment/abuse) after an internal investigation much earlier in the year. This was way before any senate rumor. In July he posted a video saying they're after me. What would you do to keep the public supporting you if you were him? Just let the vice story come out and let the church smash you in public? What else could Tim have done to keep people on his side besides leak a senate run rumor? This part is pure speculation of course but I do believe Reyes was telling people Tim would soon announce.

Apparently, Tim got a free pass to do whatever he wanted
"67. Ballard claims to be blessed by Thom Harrison, both while Thom was alive, and through Spear President Ken Krogue, claiming to anoint Ballard as a chosen one, not subject to the jurisdiction of government and church authorities. See Exhibits N and O."

God told me flat out not to read Visions of Glory.
When my MIL insisted, God has me read the intros and like 3 pages of the first chapter and go tell my MIL why it wasn't from Him.
You are wise to avoid it.

Wealthy members huh?
Whew, glad they won't be finding my name on that list.
Lol. That was my first thought as well.

I wonder who else the church is giving "confidential" information about us.
I wish I had taken screen shot.
I recently logged into my LDS account and a screen popped up saying basically: you can restrict who sees info on your account, but even if you do stake leadership and others can still see and use it.
Then when I clicked through to the directory it was gone and I couldn't see it again.
It seems they are covering their legal butts for some reason.

I saw that too. It was for name, address, phone number, and email. You can lock out who sees it in the ward and stake, unless it is certain leadership. I don't think the post applied to more.
Of course, that doesn't mean they aren't sharing stuff they don't tell us about...
