Don't hold your breath for Q15 to publicly call this man's behavior "morally unacceptable"
We are all familiar with the church publicly calling Tim Ballard "morally unacceptable"...
Whether Tim did it or not is not the point...the point is the church NEVER does such a thing to an individual member...not in my lifetime do I remember any such thing occurring.
So....now that Q15 has broken the ice on public shaming...I'm sure they will be quick to issue a public statement on this one....
Romney's LIES and hypocrisy affected the entire nation...
Surely the brethren want to distance themselves from such a dirt-bag scoundrel member representing the state of Utah and the church...

Re: Don't hold your breath for Q15 to publicly call this man's behavior "morally unacceptable"
In my opinion to call someone actions as 'morally unacceptable' it is not 'shaming' but rather speaking truth and drawing lines.
I see this similar to the calls for modesty being called 'body shaming'
Why can't people speak truth anymore without it being called 'shaming' whether or not it comes from the Q15?
I think they knew way more than they said and tried to distance themselves from the crapstorm that Mr. Ballard created.

Here, David Bednar is asked about politics and the church at the Silicon Slopes meeting. He mentions Mitt Romney and Harry Reid.

He is speaking without actually saying anything, it seems.

I liked the story about Sam Walton. Too bad the Church will not take his example and apply it to the LDSCorp. I know it shouldn't be used for a church, but the LDS isn't really a church anymore.

You need to get to the 35:17 mark, though, which doesn't work with embedding, it seems.Peeps wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 4:21 pmImbedded/embedded:Chip wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 4:16 pm Here, David Bednar is asked about politics and the church at the Silicon Slopes meeting. Evidently, Bednar and RMN consider partnerships with the NAACP and publicly supporting the gay marriage act...progress. He was actually proud of such things.Chip wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 4:16 pm Here, David Bednar is asked about politics and the church at the Silicon Slopes meeting. I consider it absolute capitulation. This is not some college football rivalry looking for common ground. This is compromising principles and even doctrines.
How far did the other side compromise??? Not a millimeter. Do you see the LGBTQ crowd or the NAACP donating to the church???? They take the check and laugh at Q15 while smoking cigars and drinking brandy back at headquarters.

Right. Tim Ballard is the first publicly known Mormon to ever do anything wrong so it makes sense that the Red Chairs would (through a media surrogate) assassinate his character. FAFO right?Godislove wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 4:05 pm In my opinion to call someone actions as 'morally unacceptable' it is not 'shaming' but rather speaking truth and drawing lines.

I think RMN should implement struggle sessions for immoral degenerates. I'd love to see all those 16 year old kids have to stand up at general conference and cut themselves bloody. That'll put a stop to all that necking and petting.

Sorry there buddy but it's very evident by now that Tim is the one that assassinated his own character.Ebenezer wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 6:04 pmRight. It seems like just because someone was an advisor 7 years earlier and then joins Burisma does not make Romney aware of BurismaThe Red Pill wrote: ↑October 20th, 2023, 3:00 pm We are all familiar with the church publicly calling Tim Ballard "morally unacceptable"...

Unfortunately it seems more like that Romney is proudly ignorant.
