I found this stat to be quite interesting. LDSFF is approaching 1.3 million comments. The closest number I can come up with is 1,294,400 and change. That’s a lot of bantering over the years.

I’m not exactly sure. Some of the old-timers could chime in. The creator’s account was started June of 2005, so it is approaching 20 years.

I remember hearing about this site more than 10 years ago and thinking it was filled with a bunch of crazy Mormons. Now it seems to be one of the only places that is not crazy.

Wish I would've found it ten years ago!! I'd have saved myself a bit of grief... But I generally have to learn things 'the hard way' anyways, so it's okay

I had a different account a few years before Covid. There was a topic about the temple and people weren’t following the counsel of the brethren. I couldn’t believe it… “not following the prophet”?? How dare they. I asked to have my account deactivated.

So yes, we find it when we are ready.

BTW, the only reason this came to mind (1.3M comments) is because I was looking at the data on my profile. In three years I have aggregated 1% of all comments on LDSFF. Maybe I need to find a new hobby. I’m sure the LDS corp would appreciate that.

I don't remember the exact date it started, but we'll just pretend it was June 24th 2005. I think it had started a bit prior to that but some kind of issue caused a sort of reset (I was very new to the phpBB forum software platform back then).
