Silly and foolish perspective. Always, everyone, even tradesmen need education. If you have none, then you'll follow the MSM! Good advice. I'm sorry if you feel your children are better off without education, sorry in deed. I told my kids to get as much school as they could. I only paid for first 4 years. Some have good careers others still working tradesman jobs. I don't care. But, all have had enough to be able to compete in a society where their peers have PhD's in BS and gender bending, etc....

I suppose I should ignore this, it seems an ignorant plea to find fault with any statement from anyone LDS! I'd say evil is trying to provoke someone for no reason.......... That is all I can get from the OP, I didn't even see the OP claimed statement or anything like it. And from someone with "mom" in their name. Shameful. IMO.

Good job telling your kids to get a college education. They can now work for the uneducated like me.

Due to the fact most of the educated (They Think They're Educated) are sick, dying, or dead. Their inflated egos got the best of them. They followed the Godsend jab script. The church is looking for more tithe payers. The Lord wants more Spiritual Education not the earthly Education the church wants.

Look anyone who spends their time outside their chosen profession, religion, or physical skill to seek truth and to get better is an educated person.

Hopefully you are learning and growing despite where you are in life or whatever circumstances you find yourself in.

I served my mission in Brazil. I saw the saddest living conditions that humanity has to offer. You cannot go into a mud hut with a dirt floor...with someone that is offering their last morsel of food to you...and not be effected...they only eat the scraps of food after you eat. It still makes me want to cry... It doesn't mean they are stupid or uneducated. They are born into a hard circumstance. They are doing their best to get out of it the only way they know how.

I grew up poor. I have memories of looking under soda machines for fallen quarters as a child. We would go to multiple locations to get enough change. Picking up what we could find and giving them to my mother so we can go buy bread and milk.

To the church's credit they stepped in and helped sometimes with food. They did this only when my father let them know of a situation. My father didn't always want to ask the church for assistance it was a pride thing for him.

We lost our residence multiple times and had to move rather quickly. Like within 24 hours.

Both my parents had college educations.

I learned at an early age the value of hustling for work. I washed neighbors cars...mowed lawns...had paper routes...

When I was older I paid for my own car...paid for the utilities of my parents residence...because often the water or electricity got shut off. Paid for my entire mission to Brazil.

So yeah when I went to Brazil on my mission...and my mission President Moreira of the Recife South mission
Prays and recieves a revelation to give $50 usd a month to the missionaries to live off of. I was rather pissed because I set up on automatic bill pay $350 a month.

To give you some idea of my mission situation. We would bus into and out of our area. That was $1 usd a day. So $30 was spent on transportation. $20 was left for food for the month! I ate bread. That was all we could afford. I came back from my mission 103 lbs I was a 6 foot 1 inch skeleton.

I came back destitute because all the money I saved in life I spent on my mission. My parents were still in the same crappy financial situation. College was not an option but survival was.

Couldn't get a job because I was not college educated. Employers would blow by my resume. Frustrated I started my own company. It has been really great since.

I hire a mix of college educated and uneducated employees. At the end of the day are they good at their job? Are they lazy or hard working? Do they continue to stretch their minds at their given profession? That is all that matters. College just shows that they worked hard at something and achieved it...but people forget that there are those that have had bad circumstances that just need the opportunity to get ahead.

I enjoyed my years in college, and I enjoy learning.

However, the college I attended kept raising tuition every year, and I was paying my own way, and didn’t want to go into debt, and my job was paying fairly well, and the starting jobs with my degree were only $12 per hour. That’s when I dropped out and didn’t get my 4 year degree. Why should I continue, just to take a pay cut?

I think education, real education has value. And if your parents can afford to pay for your college, then that’s great! Or if you get scholarships, great! But nowadays you should pick a school that doesn’t teach utter garbage and those are few and far between. Maybe Hillsdale College or the college that Jordan Peterson is setting up now.

As an employer, I will choose a person with actual skills and work ethic over degrees anytime. I could tell so, so many stories.

One question for Duke: Have you ever been an employer?

Be uneducated and poor, that’ll show ‘em.
No college...no debt...own my own business...home is paid off....looking to buy another bigger home in cash.

Yes. I am uneducated but i am hard working.

Just so you know...in times of uncertainty the boss never gets fired.

I am sorry your perspective is that an uneducated person will never make it in life.

When you hit your salary cap...there is no end in sight to mine.

Don't listen to me though...I am just an ignoramus with no college degree...

-Peace-
Where did I say an uneducated person will never make it in life?

I’m not sure why you assume I don’t prove of your hard work and success. Congratulations!

Not once did I say anyone must seek a college degree in order to be educated or have wisdom.

My comment of “be uneducated and poor, that’ll show ‘em” was for those saying all the church wants is for you to be educated so you can make more money so you can pay more tithing.
