Being Born again

Maybe my beliefs are odd and I have been in the minority for years and I've been unaware. This poll is to help me figure out if I've had a veil over my face for a long time and been completely unaware.
If you have a reason as to why Born again is not of water and the Spirit- please let me know why in the comments and offer scriptural backing. Thanks!

And no this isn't some passive aggressive attack- I'm legitimately wondering if maybe this has been something that I always believed/understood, but isn't something common among LDS members.

Mosiah 5: 7. It's interesting how it's worded. It starts addressing the people in the plural (ye) as children of Christ, then mentions His sons and His daughters and says this day He has spiritually begotten you ("you" is the singular form). It leaves no doubt that being born again is a singular/personal experience.

Christ came to me in a dream and told me, "I am your father and you are my son". He made a sign, first, on His body, then, He made the same sign on my body. Calling this a 'dream' doesn't do it justice. I felt infinite love that was overwhelming. Six years later (last year) I discovered that the sign He made was the sign of rebirth. This isn't because I am worthy, because who is worthy of Christ's atonement? My take-away is that He believes in me, I should stop being hard on myself, and He has hope for me.

I checked "other".

Yeah, I believe it is an event as well- I'm not strict on timing. I'm guessing something in your life changed at that point - like a spiritual change within you?

"That by reason of transgression cometh the fall, which fall bringeth death, and inasmuch as ye were born into the world by water, and blood, and the spirit, which I have made, and so became of dust a living soul, even so ye must be born again into the kingdom of heaven, of water, and of the Spirit, and be cleansed by blood, even the blood of mine Only Begotten; that ye might be sanctified from all sin, and enjoy the words of eternal life in this world, and eternal life in the world to come, even immortal glory; For by the water ye keep the commandment; by the Spirit ye are justified, and by the blood ye are sanctified;"

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

"And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
