Isaiah 11
Isaiah discusses the end time servant of the Lord. He will be a descendant of Jesse, and of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will have learned to judge by the spirit, and will be given power over the Earth and its inhabitants. He will smite the wicked through his priesthood and give the poor and the humble their due.

When Isaiah speaks of the various animals, both clean and unclean, is writing on two levels. Certainly, animals will have lost their enmity one to another, but they also symbolize that the repentant House of Israel and the repentant gentiles will associate as one. The little child represents the servant of the Lord, although I'm sure many little children will play with animals in the Millennium.

It is a wonderful thing that peace will cover the earth in that day, for peace will spread over the Earth just as the knowledge of our Lord and Redeemer will spread over the entire earth. Working under the direction of John the Revelator (or perhaps the end time servant is John the Revelator, see D&C 77:9,14) he will gather Israel. The Jews and the Ephraimites will work together to subdue the nations, no longer having enmity one tribe to the other.

The Lord will gather the remnants of Israel with a mighty hand, showing forth wonders like unto when the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea.
