Isaiah 9
The start of Isaiah 9 is a continuation of the end of Isaiah 8. Isaiah explains that those who have been in anguish for Zion will be cheerful in the midst of gloom. It might be surmised that this is because they know what comes after the destruction and look forward to seeing Zion and their Lord.

It is prophesied that the land of Zebulun and Naphtali will no longer be humbled. Those lands, north of the Sea of Galilee and part of the Kingdom of Israel, have been arid for many years. But these lands, or the people whose lands they are will be exalted. I believe that this refers to the honest, good people of Israel who are not the elite. Zebulun and Naphtali were never trouble like Dan or Benjamin, and were never elite like Ephraim or Judah. They played their part and did their work and quietly drank their beer at home, so to speak. Those who are like Zebulun and Naphtali will be lifted up. This also refers to the return of the lost ten tribes of Israel.

Then Isaiah mentions Prince David, a descendant of David and the Lord Jesus Christ who will establish his reign under the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. Like his God Jehovah, David will be a counsellor, valiant, a father, and a prince of peace, and he will reign forever upon the throne of David. When he is established on his throne and the Lord visits his people it will be a time of great joy!

This will happen as the king of Assyria and his armies are defeated and retreat back to Asia.

Then the chapter goes back to the start of the tribulations for Ephraim. Natural disasters happen and Ephraim shrugs them off. We'll build back better they proudly say instead of realizing that Jehovah is warning them one last time. We ignore God for the last time, because next comes war as foreign armies aligned with Russia invade. Our elites, both secular and religious are killed suddenly, in one day.

The Lord more that this happens because the prophets teach lies and because everyone from the youth to the orphaned children and the widows are wrongdoers and profane. Nuclear war and other burning will come.

Those of the wicked who survive the invasion will fight with each other without mercy and will turn to cannibalism of their own children to survive.

War will be fought between those with native blood, those with the blood of Ephraim, and those of Judah. (It is important to note that there are significantly more Jews in the USA than in all of Israel.)
