Fight for the right wrote: October 23rd, 2023, 11:59 am There is no perfect religion is a false statement watchman. Christ is perfect and he prepared Joseph to receive his perfect way to find our way back to Heavenly Father. Would he send Moroni to restore a flawed Church. I don't think so. Men under the influence of Satan mess things up. Records have been and are kept of the ordinances needed to be for our time here and our time in eternity. What soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven. Mathieu 18-18. I'm not going back and forth here for sake of argument. I concerned for you and your family. Maybe you've already done this. Fast and pray with a sincere heart to find out if Christ's Church is still Christ's Church. The Holy Spirit will let you know and anybody else that really wants to know.
FFTR... we could spend hours dissecting your comment. A few quick observations:

1. To believe that God gave all truth to the LDS church is myopic, especially when you understand church history and how sordid it truly is.

2. The church has lied about Joseph and changed most of the doctrines he taught. IMO Joseph, like his family, would not be a member today.

3. I think the Lord was willing to allow the church to fall into apostasy. In fact, He prophesied it would happen. 3 Nephi 16:10-11. And regardless, when they teach anti-Christian doctrines, is it really His church? Jesus taught it was only his church when it taught his doctrine.

4. There is not a single source/reference to the endowment and ordinances taught by Joseph. I'm not joking. None exist. Sure, we have various witness statements, but not the "records" you think exist.

Don't be concerned for my family. We literally left the church to follow Christ. While we are sad about what has become of the church, we couldn't be happier. We've spent years praying, fasting, and wrestling with the Lord. We are at peace.

I love how the true believers in the great Mormon church love to condemn those that no longer believe like they do.
Church leaders have done you all a great disservice so instead of parroting every bit of nonsense that comes out of the mouth of these "righteous leaders" why not try to have an original thought along with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Well I guess there's no sense going on as we could for a long time. You have you're answer and I have mine. Mine is the Holy Spirit manifestation that I belong to Christ Church. There's no greater witness.

I don't parrot anyone. I think for myself and rely on the Spirit for my salvation.

That much we can agree upon. It just seems to have a different perspective. I'm not saying that I can relate to the spiritual manifestations that you have, but I also came to realize that there are many church leaders who have done, and continue to do, some pretty atrocious things. Most members won't even allow themselves to believe that a leader could lead them astray. I've shared my "testimony" countless times of things I thought were true, but I now realize were partial truths at best.

I would hope that at a minimum you can see clear deviations from Jesus' teachings and LDS dogmas. When Jesus teaches, "Prophets can lead you astray," and the LDS org says, "The Lord won't allow us to lead you astray," you have to either believe Jesus or the arm of flesh. I choose Jesus.

You just parroted LDS teachings to a T. Do any of those teachings contradict Christ's teachings? That's the question we should be asking.
