It’s true that most who leave the church are spiritually out of sorts, but so is Wilcox. Just look at his frame, his demeanor. He’s weak and fat, he speaks with insincere passion. Pedo vibes.
Oh good. More judging a man by his outward appearance.
The spirit and the body are the soul of man.

Who is this guy? Why does anything he says matter?

Brad was (is?) a professor at BYU in the department of Ancient Scripture. He's spoken several times during their weekly devotionals. He is also a celebrity of sorts among the youth and speaks all over the church as kind of a motivational speaker. In April of 2023, he was called as the First Counselor in the YM General Presidency.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll refrain from watching more than that collective clip. That was bad enough. He's obviously very wrong and scripture doesn't even come close to supporting what he's saying.

He is also the author of almost 40 LDS-themed books, many geared toward the youth.

And the irony of what you’ve said, he’s a professor of ancient scripture.

Brad is exactly the person the church wants in this position. His language is very much aligned w/ the youth nomenclature, and he checks the boxes for a slightly effeminate male that can relate both to young effeminate men and girls alike.
(Don't slam me for the judgment of his effeminate qualities, those are pretty obvious outward qualities that he has. I know, I said to be careful about prejudice, but he has a very unique tonal pitch and mannerisms.)

He actually gave a pretty good talk on Grace a few years back. But since he's been called to a church calling, he's doubled down on the church mantras.

What calling does he have? I thought he was just a motivational/religious/utah speaker.

Ewww. Guess he would fit the bill.
Did you know Brad has been teaching Utah boys about puberty?

“Wilcox says he has been giving such lectures for about 35 years, including in public schools, even though he has no background in health. That and his prominence in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has put some parents and taxpayers at unease.“

I just watched the clip. That man is disgusting! From his language to his mannerisms, what a lying @#$-kissing fool this man is:
"Walk away from anything that lets anything in your life count or matter beyond this life."
He wants RMN to live to be 120... And the irony of the people wearing face diapers behind him is just icing on the disgusting cake. I wish I knew more about psychology so I could know more about what causes someone to act like this. I call it BS gaslighting but I'm sure a professional could do a better job than that. And now he's in Young Mens? I just can't do it anymore...

This video has been shared before, but I think it’s worth posting again, especially now since I’m contemplating a greater sense of God’s love for all of His children in all religions that teach truth and light. Most religions you can step away from and they’ll often wish you well. (That’s not true for all religions, but many.) I think this is why it’s so hard for members of the church to see their family members leave, due to this type of conditioning and what it means to leave the LDS org. You can’t just leave the church, apparently you lose all connection to God and anything that means anything in the eternities.
God is more loving and kind than the opinions/teachings of this man.
Sigh...many lies in there. Without the Church or prophets....I still have my Savior, I still have God, I still have the Holy Spirit, and I still have the Holy Scriptures.
This is one of the exact points that I made to my EQP about a month ago when he walked away from me.
Good time to review Elder Poleman's (sic) GC conference talk on the difference between the Gospel of Christ and the Church of Christ.

I think I'll call this the "Don't you dare leave Jerusalem or you'll be sorry" talk. His countenance reminds me of Lucifer in the temple movies. You can only get to heaven through these men huh? This talk really bothers me. If I leave the church I guess I can't read the BOM or pray. What a miserable little man.

Really!?
I attended a regional training with him recently. So much hyperbole and kitsch.
Apparently, the Church got rid of the BSA because they were tired of so many of the scoutmasters smoking in the parking lot around the youth. Anecdote after anecdote after culturalism passed as doctrine, I thought, people aren't actually buying this stuff, are they? There were lines of people waiting to get a picture with him afterwards.
