Isaiah 3
In this chapter, Isaiah paints a dire picture of the modern Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Situation
The situation is described starting in verse 8 and going through verse 16. The Lord's people have provoked him by what they say and what they do. The Lord particularly mentions that they have provoked him with their sins like Sodom which covers the LGTBQ+ spectrum of behavior and thought. Our church leaders are leading us astray by eliminating godly traditions. The family is in disarray with women and children taking the lead instead of men. The leaders of the Church are stealing from the poor with their incorrect and ungodly interpretation of tithing. The women of the church are conceited and worldly, and they focus heavily on clothing, flirtations, and appearance.
The Effect
Because of these things, our entire society will be plunged into chaos and destroyed. The Lord will take away our food and water, services, economy, and government. We will be ruled by the immature and the criminal. (This, of course, is already fulfilled by Hunter and Joe Biden, and all of Congress, but it will be fulfilled to a greater degree, I fear. I don't know if a single country in the Western World is ruled by a true adult.) Society will be turned upside down and people will be desperate and will turn on each other. Anyone with the foresight to prepare at all will be looked to for leadership, but even they will be too overwhelmed to accept responsibility at that point. The women of the Church will be taken captive, experience the effects of radiation poisoning, lose their material possessions, and be treated immodestly and cruelly. The men of Zion will mostly be killed in the chaos and military invasion that is coming.
What should we do?
In verse 10 it says the righteous will eat the fruit of their labors, and be kept safe. So, it is imperative that we repent of the sins the Lord condemns in this chapter. We must not accept worldly philosophies on the family and human gender and sexuality. We must take care of the poor and the needy as well as we can. We must be humble before the Lord and put away our worldliness.
