Negative reviews given by students from long before these arrests are being read all over Youtube and TikTok. He is no longer employed by BYU.

What's up with your Mayor, Orem? getting spit on by the daughter of a Herald reporter, investigated by the state AG for violating his office, and then there's this:
The judge blasted the Youngs in his ruling, saying they were “extremely lacking in credibility” and that they were “frequently very evasive in their answers to even the simplest of questions.”

Ballard said both Youngs started their testimony “by admitting that they had deceived the court regarding their vaccination status” at the start of the trial. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alabama took strict measures to protect those appearing in-person in court including requiring all participants to have vaccine shots. https://www.heraldextra.com/news/local/ ... vid-young/
and then just days before the trial, he transfers his wealth into a private trust:
Gagliano amended his Nov. 8, 2021, complaint to add further allegations of fraud. On Nov. 15, 2021, David Young transferred over $21 million in assets, including his home, to the Forever Young Trust with his wife as the trustee. In exchange, David Young received openly a demand note from the trust signed by his wife. That demand note requires no payment to David Young for over 15 years and then only in the event he is still alive, according to court documents.

It appears that trusts were organized and then assets moved from one trust to another.

“To make matters even more specious, on the same day of the transaction, Mr. Young transferred the note, itself, over to the Catherine B. Young Trust of which he serves as a trustee with his wife,” Evans notes in the legal filing. “These transactions are clearly bogus and done for the purposes of simply evading collection of Mr. Gagliano’s claim and judgment.”

anyone have the Utah side of the story? Looks like Joe Biden & Hunter Biden - apparently, David's son Shawn has a gambling problem and kept getting loans from this guy in Alabama and his dad first claimed he didn't know anything about his son's business dealings, but the court paperwork proves otherwise.

Plus, lying to the judge and being evasive?

You Orem folks like this guy? What am I missing here?

He'd get away with it if he was one of the elite no matter how many people knew about it.

In other Utah criminal minds news ——- Kouri Richins (accused of killing her husband with a fentanyl overdose) had a 6-page letter confiscated from her jail cell. It reeks of witness tampering. Kouri said it was privileged communication with her lawyer, but it’s written to Kouri’s mother. Then Kouri said it’s a chapter in a fictional book she is writing, but it only sounds like she is telling her brother what to say to interrogators, and how to get revenge on her dead husband’s sisters. She just dug herself an even deeper hole. Her poor lawyer.

Three-minute video with the letter:

John Dehlin at Mormon Stories had the most comprehensive interview with Adam Steed about his toxic experience with Jodi Hildebrandt, and how he was responsible for her suspension in 2012. He gave permission for other journalists to use his video, so it has been recounted in many venues.
Well, Dehlin has received a court order to take the episode down. Gee, I wonder who was behind that demand? And what about all the other people who have interviewed Adam independently, as well as rebroadcasting segments of Dehlin’s interview?
John has put out an open call for anyone who feels they have been harmed by any of the Church’s “addiction” counselors or programs. This is better than any network reality TV show.

Jodi and Ruby did a video talking about taking responsibility. Jodi gave an example (sitting in her 5000 sq ft home) of someone complaining that they had to live in a 400 sq ft home, that they felt claustrophobic, and they “deserved” more than that. Jodi said there was no one to blame but themselves for where they lived. Their situation is the result of choices they have made, and they need to take responsibility for their choices and decisions.

Yeah, karma can be cruel. I hope Jodi is taking responsibility for her choices and not trying to blame anyone else...like 10 and 12-yr-old children.

Then there was the video on privacy....sweet.

Jodi, Ruby, Kevin, and the rest have made the big time, being featured on Good Morning America today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP8X2gqk2K4

I know Jodi wanted to be known throughout the world (she has said so) and this has accomplished that desire.

Kevin asked Springville police to arrest his daughter just after Ruby was arrested, because she went to the Springville home to get clothes and other items for the 4 dependent children. Police said, uh, no, we were there with her, along with child services, and we broke down the door, not her, the day before, looking for the kids. Kevin’s lawyer continues to rewrite history. He is a publicity hound, and can’t help telling lies to try to keep Kevin from looking like the jerk he is.

Y’all having fun there in Utah?
My dad and my brother live in Springville (2 different homes). I have various in-laws living in St George, and I’ve visited both places many times in the past, so this feels like it’s in my back yard, even without the Mormon connection.

New story out on the Franke fiasco. Turns out Kevin, the dad, called the police on his oldest daughter, Shari, accusing her of breaking & entering and then stealing items from the home that he himself hasn’t lived in in months. He claimed she broke in after her mother was arrested. The police said that they are the ones who damaged the door when they were issuing the warrants. The police did not arrest Shari so he is now suing the police for not arresting his daughter!! How messed up is that family?! The dad belongs in jail too. You can read the full story at the link below

A crazy twist to this story — right after the police report was released, that said he wanted Shari arrested, his lawyer told the media that the claim was not true, and that Kevin is working on forming a loving relationship with Shari. Then......the video comes out. Gotta love the body cams and freedom of information.
Slimy lawyer. I’ve heard he has quit commenting to the press. Maybe he is starting to have some trust issues with his client.

One of them is from Utah. Brook, the uncle of Blaze, and brother of Blaze and Abi’s mother, Spring.

We are discussing it in the Fruits of Julie Rowe thread.
