Male or female preachers? What kind of underwear? Why would the be in their underwear, to make a statement or just don't have clothes? Are they on the street corner or on YouTube?

To me any person that is worthy of being a preacher should be modest. Hard to be modest in underwear. Seems distracting. Never heard Jesus preach naked nor John or anyone for that matter that wasn't a quack. But, there must be motivation for the question. What is it? Trying to find a response that shows shutting off someone for seemingly insignificant reasons? Seems like I cannot come up with a reasonable reason someone would preach naked? Even in travels, like in India and Asia, it seems folks preaching or whatever, wore clean robes or some kind of simple garments.

Naked? Underwear is not naked… I guess I’m the only one at this point who is saddling up to the preacher in his/her skivvies.

1. Are they preaching by the Spirit of God.
2. Is there a reason? John the Baptist was pretty close to this.
3. Who disrobed them? And why? Is this tearing off clothes and putting dirt on the head in lamentation?
4. Enoch was a "wild man."

Context matters, but I put yes, because I can think of various plausible reasons why this might be ok.

If the spirit testified of their words, then yes.

Also, just because someone is actually a prophet of God, doesn't mean they are speaking to me, personally, when they speak their message. I would have to ask God if the message was for me.

Many prophets speak messages to those who are on different levels. Some to those who still need repentance. Some to those who still need a bit of refining.

Those who are already their own prophets for their own lives, don't usually need their messages, though the spirit will prompt them if it is relevant to them.

The Savior said Isaiah is what was and what will be. I suppose it's possible to have a latter-day repeat. I hope he's not Chinese, there's enough mocking of prophets as is.

I selected pity because my initial reaction would be
Wow he's naked
Lets get him wrapped up in a blanket and drive to the store and get him some clothes
Take him home so he can shower and dress and then eat dinner with us.

I suppose that it matters WHY the preacher was only in underwear? There is nothing wrong with being in underwear or even naked, depending on the circumstances. I wouldn't disregard a message just because the messenger was not fully clothed. He might say that there is a man with a gun following me and I better pay attention. I suppose that Adam was naked when talking with God. And God must have been also, or Adam might ask where he could get a similar robe?

I would be intrigued to listen to a preacher wearing sackcloth, driving a 1975 chevy truck and living in a shack at the edge of town preaching ..."Sell all of your crap and walk with me"...

I said yes. I wouldn't think they should be taken seriously, but I'd be interested in what they were saying. If what they said made sense, what they were wearing or not wearing wouldn't matter.
