Angels

I am repeating myself so please excuse me.

My mother is 97 years old and lives alone at an elevations of 4100 feet in a temperate cloud forest on the island of Hawaii. She has 35 acres of native forest land, most of which is on rugged terrain.

Years ago, some neighbors destroyed much of her forest with a bulldozer. I have tried to repair it but it takes time. 30 years ago, my mother repaired the damage done by cattlemen by planting thousands of Koa trees from seed. Now, they are giant beautiful trees and when the koa is restored, the whole forest thrives. Rare and endemic bird species return, and the ohia trees are made healthier and stronger.

I hired a surveyor to survey part of the property line that borders the neighbor. I moved the fence 40' over, to where it should be. The neighbor's son came from the mainland and his mother stirred him up to anger against my mother. He came over to my mother's rental house and angrily complained to her tenant. The tenant told him, "If you hurt Joyce, I'll kill you". When I heard this, that night, as I prayed for protection for my family and the forest, I said, "...send Mom a warrior angel". The next morning, Mom told my sister and me, "You will not believe what happened this morning...". She described the angel in detail and said she will never forget what he looked like. Mom didn't know the word for "chainmail" but she described it to us and gave us a detailed description of the man. He stood at the foot of her bed for about 10 minutes. I told her that I had prayed for him to come and that Heavenly Father will protect her, no matter what, if she allows it.

Since that time, she has been visited by three other angels. One looked like a young Raymond Burr. He was checking her front door lock with one hand and holding a device with the other. One angel followed me around with his big shaggy dog while I was working in the forest. My mother watched him for a few hours on one of the security cameras that I set up.

Two months ago, Mom fell and dislocated her shoulder. She was outside and couldn't get up for nine hours. My sister just happened to fly in from Maui, that night, and helped Mom up and called 911. The whole time Mom was down, she saw the last angel, the one she watched on the security camera, as he kept her company. He and the dog sat by a big koa tree and the angel tapped on the tree root, occasionally, to keep her awake.

I don't know what rules angels are bound by. In fact, I don't know much about the 'ministering of angels' but I wish I did. I do know that if we want God's help, we have to accept His will unconditionally... no buts allowed.

I visit my mother six or seven times a year. The last time I went there, the night I arrived, my mother had an evil presence in her bedroom. She called for help so I came in. She heard a clicking sound. I think Heavenly Father allowed this to happen while I was there so I could bless the place and send the entity away. This will serve as a reminder to Mom to humbly understand her reliance upon God.
