You are saying Adam, the only man born of the spirit or in other words not born of woman (Luke 7:28), was to inept and weak to maintain his family as the sole patriarch.

Maybe you think he completely abandoned that side of the family?

With this idea, abandoning Cain and his offspring, does that damn Noah? He let his son Ham marry that side of the family. Should he have not let them on the boat? The boat was full of sin?

Personally, I like to work my interpretations out.

I'm not saying or implying anything about Adam. I'm sure he preached, but that doesn't mean he was listened to. We don't know anything about the City of Enoch other than Cain established it. It stands to reason that he built it around the secret works that Satan taught him.

It stands to reason that Enoch went into the city of Enoch and turned it into a Zion…..

It does say in the PofGP that he built the city of holiness aka Zion. So probably not the older city of Enoch. But he certainly could have preached repentance to them/their descendants. Sounds like everyone was wicked except maybe those who were in a “promised land” already where Enoch grew up.

Also in regards to the 5,000 years and what they have been doing, how do you know it has been 5,000 years for them? Maybe it’s only been a small moment for them. Time differences and all that.

If Einstein was right about people traveling fast out in space aging a lot slower than people on earth, then it might have been only 100 years for them, depending on their speed.

Why was Cain so inept that he needed Satan’s help to kill Able? They were both old enough to sacrifice their own livestock, right?

I wish people actually thought of the story that is right in front of them and not the one that the beast has interpreted for us……

My perspective has always been that murder hadn't been invented yet, so it couldn't have occurred to Cain without the devil's input (and he knew what murder was).

I use to think similarly, it doesn’t truly fit the story when you think about what it asking of these sons of Adam.

If we read the book of Moses 5:50 in the PofGP the story of Lamech makes a lot more sense.

In Moses 5:49 “ master of that great secret which was administered unto Cain by Satan; and Irad, the son of Enoch, having known their secret, began to reveal it unto the sons of Adam;”

The secret trickled down to the sons of men in verse 52

Ie the sons of Adam are the sons of God. The secret to kill a son of Adam was highly coveted, to the point that they would kill to keep it secret.
