Hi all! I have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks. I joined to be able to chip in and to share info on a project I've been working on.

Last summer I was quite suddenly awakeded to our awful situtation as the BOM says. Since that time I have spent many hours in study and pondering. Quite early on in my studies I was introduced to The 5000 Year Leap. Shortly after I began to read it's pages I knew that there was something I needed to do. That's the project I mentiond earlier.

It's a web site that proposes an approach to gently awakening members of the LDS faith to many of the problems our country faces. I propose the use of The 5000 Year Leap to accomplish this. Anyway, see what you think and please give me feedback and ideas.

Parts of the web site haven't been proofed by anyone but myself. To tell the truth, I'm a lousy editor so don't expect perfection and please let me know when something needs attention. The web site address is www.friendsoftheconstitution.org Thanks of listning!

Your site is awesome. The only critique I have is that I would either remove the Ron Paul video, or edit him out of it. The disclaimer above it seems disingenuous when you are watching a Ron Paul promotional video. I say that as a fan of Ron Paul.

Other than that, I think it's fabulous. I read the 5000 year leap a couple years ago, and I told my Dad he needed to read it, so I gave him my copy. It sat for a while and then Glenn Beck started promoting it and a couple weeks ago my Dad called me and asked me if I'd heard of the book. "Yeah Dad, I'm the one who gave it to you!"

I'm just happy he finally got to it. Don't give up on people, sometimes it just takes several influences to give someone that push.

People believe a lie they have heard several times before they believe the truth they have heard once.

Welcome! Look forward to your posts!

Thanks for sharing your experience with your studies. Similarly, my reading and studies so far have made me appreciate and delve into the scriptures and appreciate this great nation so much more than before.

Great work on the website so far. FYI, the red is hard to read against the black background - may want to take that into consideration.

I also have a Constitutional blog: http://ldsfreedom.wordpress.com.

ChelC , I would like to be able to post a different version of the video without Ron Paul in it. I actually have such a version on my computer but don't know how to upload it to Youtube or if I should, considering I don't own the rights to the video.

Is anyone aware of the non-Ron Paul version anywhere on Youtube?

preparednesspro , Thanks for the suggestion. I will lighten up the red wording to make it a bit easier to read.

You're most welcome! Since you're passionate enough about the issues to have a website about them, it's in your favor for the text to be legible. Best of luck with your site.
