Respectfully, you originally quoted Matthew 25:1. I looked it up immediately when you wrote it down. It is the parable of the 10 virgins. …the 5 wise and the 5 unwise. ….Nothing to do with polygamy.

Have not the latter day prophets taught that the virgins represent the members of the church, those that have oil, and those that do not?

Yes the lord liken the kingdom of heaven to a polygamist marriage…..

The virgins are his saints and half of them have the wick lite, meaning that the wick isn’t dry. The wick goes out, ie the saint doesn’t know the bridegroom and won’t see him.

The bridegroom is the lord.

But I have been in some highly stressful incidents at various times in my life, so am speaking from experience when I say that Taylor and Richards would remember very little by way of factual detail. They would remember thoughts, feelings and fears way more.

I can tell you where my companions were, friends were and the assailants. IMO I can tell you with strong accuracy.

For instance in 1994 I was driving when I noticed that two cars were following me. To check to see if I was right I pulled over on the side of the road. The lead car went in front of my car and the second car went behind my car to pin me in. Four gang members for it of their cars. Two from the front car and two from the rear. The driver from the front car came around and said "we are going to be your rivers today.". Three of the guys were Hispanic and one was black. The driver from the front car came over to me and took my beanie from my head and then took a few steps back. As he stepped back I open my door to get in his face. I had two friends in the car that both got out on the passenger side and walked around the front of my card to stand near me to my right.

And I can go on with many more details. To make a long story short those guys ended up getting back in the car and driving away after they noticed that I was looking at their license plates.

I can go through each one of those types of instance and give you a fairly good description of my surroundings without telling any lies.

The parable assumes that the reader understands some of the customs at a Jewish wedding. The Jewish wedding ceremony occurred at the bride’s home. When the wedding ceremony was over, the wedding party and the guests would travel to the bridegroom’s home for the banquet. From having taking a gunshot first-aid class, I do know that a 'bleed out' (of blood) is about the same size as a person's torso. I'm not entirely convinced that his shirt had a "massive amount of blood" on it. It is also possible that some of Hyrum's blood may have flowed/gone down into his lungs, drowning him...especially if he were face up?

I like your "hit or nick" usage. And why not a bullet/ball fragment? Even with a small caliber ball, one could imagine possible fragmentation if it hit bone or teeth. Teeth enamel is very hard (basically calcium apatite). And if not fragmentation, per se, maybe they sliced off a fragment of the ball.

The Lyon brothers talk about the massive amount of blood that engulfed the right side of both the vests and shirt, and they show photographs of same that seem to substantiate this.

As we've discussed previously (and I've posted links for) motive is NOT necessary to prove a crime. Although, it can be helpful to fit all the pieces together.

But, as I've mentioned repeatedly, your aren't ever going to prove that WR and JT committed or even collaborated in the crime, in the face of a very real mob that was proven to be out to kill JS, and in the face of the very real possibility that some in the mob had hand guns and used them.

I strongly suspect that in any case where a perp was convicted of a crime without his/her/its motivation being apparent, there were no other possible or likely perpetrators on the scene. Can you show otherwise?? I doubt it.

Yes, this whole thread is really about polygamy. Justin and those who agree with his conspiracy theory are trying to “vindicate” Joseph Smith of being a polygamist. That’s it. It’s not about trying to determine what actually happened at Carthage based on all the available evidence.
