I am suspecting that we are being poisoned more so than any other time. I got sick three weeks ago from RESES peanut butter cup. Then today at church we had a TWIX bar. My throat burned and now I feel sick. I suspect the gmo sugar has been upped in potency. Are you all getting sick from candy bars?
I do not eat candy often.....
But I had a dark chocolate/mint KitKat bar this weekend and my throat burned. I have never had an issue before now.
Between your and Say what?'s experiences, I would say there might be something new added to the candy bars.
(Like Niemand said, they aren't good for us in the first place, but I think they get worse and worse for us all the time.)

If you like chocolate, alternatives are available. Personally I think American chocolate is vile, and the big corporations also make bad chocolate. You might have to pay a bit more for the better stuff but it will be worth it.
I don't actually care for the taste of chocolate, but I do like the melty characteristic of it, and milk chocolate is okay. What would you recommend in case I ever decide I want a chocolate of good quality, such as you and Robin Hood have talked about?
I do think that when I want chocolate, it is because I'm craving sugar.

Pretty much the only time I do get sick is if I overdo it with sugar, usually not just from a single candy bar though.
I've noticed that I often get sick when two or three of the following are happening:
I haven't had much sleep over the course of several days.
I've been eating a lot of junk (sugary) food.
I'm stressed.
If my hands are cold and I touch my mouth, put fingers in my mouth, or eat finger food (like a sandwich), I will most likely get sick.
I think people get sick more around the holidays because of the sugary foods they eat - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter.

There is such a wide variety of American made chocolate. Yes, most of the milk chocolate and big name brands are terrible, but there are some really great artisan chocolate makers, usually dark chocolate.
Ick to dark - but what are some of these artisan chocolate makers you're talking about?

The way people seem to think (or are directed to think) makes zero sense to me.
If you're worried about pollution, why create a crisis that clogs up the oceans, cities, and landfills with paper masks?
If you're worried about a carbon footprint and the exhaust from oil-based fuel, why are you flying to Africa and other countries (to push your product, get wealthier) while pretending you aren't the
biggest factor in the problem you are so vociferous about?
Let's use electricity instead of oil-based energy, but conveniently ignore all it takes to get the electricity from nonexistent to the stuff in your outlets (and that goes in your electric cars).

Swiss or Belgian. Lindt is widely available in many places and beats American stuff hands down. British chocolate is better than American, but declining rapidly, so I'd recommend continental (western) European stuff.
As someone said, there is good chocolate in the States if you know where to look. The mass market stuff is junk, especially Hersheys. There is too much palm oil in most things these days and the American habit of putting corn syrup into everything is not good either.

Bingo! This rings so true.
They believe they're better than us.
They think they deserve luxury while we deserve to barely subsist . . . if that much.
They believe they're our overlords.

They follow the model of Plato's Republic, with (what they consider to be) Philosopher Kings guiding the polity. They also follow Plato's dictum of the Noble Lie, in this case the pretence of democracy and social mobility.

Not to brag or anything, but I happen to hold the exact same degrees in climatology and in medicine that Bill Gates has.
Well, then
you should be the one with the jet, in my book.
The "experts" that actually DO have degrees in climatology and medicine will say that Bill Gates "follows the Science(TM)." If by the Science(TM) they mean: "Here's your grant, now find something that follows this predetermined hypothesis," that is not the "science" that I would want to follow.
Bill Gates is nothing more than an influencer with a lot of money. What the pharmaceutical industry would call a "Key Opinion Leader." Influencers can be very easily bought. "Make this content, and we will give you a ten percent comission on every item that you sell," some say. Or they get discounts to different places around the world. Or sit in board meetings (as long as they behave).
Welcome to the new Dark Ages of Feudalism.
Sigh. No doubt.

Sugar compromises the immune system for hours after consumption.
Yep.
I hear that people who eat no processed food rarely if ever get sick.... But it wouldn't surprise me one bit if formulas have been altered.
Weston Price traveled around the world looking at indigenous peoples and taking photos of them. Those who had not been exposed to the junky diet were healthier and had straighter, better teeth.
I understand that countries who used to be healthy started getting all the illnesses we have once they adopted our junky diet.

Read Mosiah chapter 29…
It’s all about how hard it is to remove entrenched powerful rulers, when their wickedness is manifest.
(And everyone should agree Bill Gates is a ruler in more ways than one…).
And we are definitely living under entrenched powerful rulers who are incredibly wicked.

I've seen Lindt around. It's a brand I like.
I look for corn syrup in ingredients so I can avoid it if possible. I honestly believe it's more addictive than just plain sugar - plus probably helps screw up the body with diabetes, weight gain, and who knows what else.

A Utah-based example is
Amano. I love their dark chocolate.
There's a
store in SLC that sells a lot of the good chocolate brands.
It seems the best chocolate tends to have very few ingredients:
Cocoa beans, pure cane sugar, cocoa butter, whole vanilla beans.

I'm no fan of Weston Price at all. I knew someone who had studied the dentition of primitive peoples and Weston Price's idealisation of them is basically a dental version of Rousseau's Noble Savage. Primitive people have less tooth decay, due to less sugar, that is true, but they also have tooth problems due to a diet which is full of grit, fibrous material, and tough dried material etc which wear the teeth down instead of rotting them as sugar does.
Some primitive tribes also chew betel nut (terrible for oral health), file teeth down deliberately etc.

I agree. Simple ingredients are best. I used to love the fudge we made when I was a kid. Cocoa powder, sugar, water - might have had milk? I dunno. I was a kid.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I thought he was showing all he'd discovered.

This guy told me about how he'd studied the teeth of such people from Papua New Guinea and even more traditional Australian Aborigines. Their teeth were often ground down to stumps by the time they were thirty. It is true that western diets leave a lot to be desired but the alternatives aren't always ideal.
Sugars can also be present in starchy foods, fruits etc as well.

True. Starchy foods are not good for diabetics.
One of my friends has an uncle who's a dentist. He said a person should never brush their teeth immediately after eating citrus (he lived in the Phoenix, Arizona area). You should rinse your mouth out first, and give yourself a few minutes for the acid from the fruit to leave your mouth - because it softens teeth and brushing teeth while that's on the teeth can harm the teeth.

Off the topic of so-called global warming, but on topic as far as the topic being about Gates. Another song by Five Times August. 3 1/2 minutes long.
It says "age restricted" - I'm guessing it's because it shows clips of people keeling over dead after the shot (though that isn't a big part of the video at all).
