I agree with much of what has been said in this thread. I’m also grateful for the church I was raised in and for all the experiences it gave me and that it pointed me to Christ for the majority of my life thus far. My mission was a life changing experience for me and I am so grateful for that experience.
But of course I also see the problems in the church now.
Personally, I believe Snuffer was correct when he gave his 40 years In Mormonism talks in 2013-2014. The 10th talk was rather prescient. His idea (or the Lord’s idea) was to preserve the restoration. We still need community. We can gather in smaller groups, in people’s homes or outside when weather allows, just like they did in the years following Christ’s resurrection.
I am not really able to do so at this time because nobody in my family is on the same page as me. (It can take a lot to break through the programming!)
So for now I’m still attending LDS services and I mostly enjoy the fellowship there.
I do hope to be in Zion someday. I didn’t realize I’d have to try to drag my family along with me!

It was this sequence of events and those that followed that woke me up out of my cog diss. Grateful for the pandemic and grateful to find likeminded individuals who still hope for a correction by one mighty and strong.
Remember that the restrictions came in during March, but that the disease had been around (supposedly) for six months before then and people were flying in and out of China during that period.
Sorry, pet peeve of mine. The pandemic is supposed to have started way before the lockdowns.
I know. I’ve been so frustrated with nearly every church member for their lack of awareness of this fact. And the lies that have been put forward to defend the decisions made.
1. It is a novel virus from a wet market.
2. We can diagnose it with PCR testing.
3. There are no reliable and safe treatments
4. Wearing a mask prevents me from either getting it or giving it.
5. A universal “vaccine” utilizing experimental and deadly technology is the only way to get through this “dampanic”
That is only a short list of lies but even one lie that is used to justify what governments did leaves people dying and losing their lillvlihood and freedom
Satan is the father of lies and since the brethren based their decisions on lies, who does that tell me they are listening to?

I admit I was in favour of the lockdown to begin with, but the first "crack" that appeared for me in the whole narrative was that I could see planes coming and going over my local area. Since I had almost nothing else to do, I checked out the nearest airport's website and found they were still flying not only to other countries but other continents!!! And this was when we were being told not to talk to our neighbours over the fence.
I could probably come up with a few other things to add to your list:
* At no point was a supermarket or delivery firm implicated as the cause of a "superspreader event". Just about everything else was. (Or it felt like that.)
* We were told not to buy masks in the first lockdown.
* We were given lists of symptoms that were so generic it was laughable. They overlapped with hayfever, the common cold, stomach trouble and common allergic reactions.
* We were told not to hoard food, but to go to shops regularly.
* QR Codes started popping up everywhere and so did cashless payment. (Apparently touchscreens were okay, but cash was bad.)

I love how this guy describes the fake pandemic.

It was interesting to me, because I'm always talking about how the evil one likes to co-op words, the meaning of words or symbols, i.e. the rainbow and it's now evil symbolism, etc.
This guy nails it.

What impression does this picture evoke in you?
He is looking at his watch and wondering how long this charade is going to go on.
The timing was emblematic of Crist, and the 5.7 magnitude was emblematic of the Davidic Servant. Said servant cooperated with The Spirit of Truth, but the miraculous time was a surprise, even to him. Way2go HereWeGo posting on March 8, which is emblematic of Christ, as per

[email protected] wrote: ↑March 7th, 2023, 4:52 pmHaving said this I do not consider myself an ex-Mormon. I have not removed my records from the Church nor do I have a desire at this time to do so. I'm not a huge fan of most ex-Mormon influencers or the ex-Mormon community as nearly all of them come off as bitter woke victims that want to blame the Church for all their problems in life. Honestly I think "Nemo the Mormon" comes off as the most rational and balanced for me and I generally like his podcasts but everyone else I just can't stand.
I think the earthquake knocking the trumpet out of Moroni's hand and throwing it on the roof of the temple was God saying, "You (the LDS Church) no longer speak for me. The voice of warning isn't coming from you, so you have lost your right to claim to be the warning voice for the world."
I think it was before that that (in Bountiful?) Moroni's face was blasted, blackened and partly blown off by lightning.
Reddit exmo is a rough place. Mormon reddit is a little less so.
If you still believe in the Book of Mormon, in Joseph Smith as a translator/seer/prophet, and want to follow Christ instead of a man, this forum seems to be the best place to be. There are a lot of disagreements here, but a lot of the people seem to be in the same boat you're in, myself included. Some of us have left. Some may have been kicked out. But we are Mormons at heart, and not ashamed of the name of Mormon, even though we are followers of Christ, not followers of Mormon or Joseph or Nelson.
Bountiful is my home town; where I often went beyond the B and visited Francis Peak, for personal and professional reasons. My latest work buddy tells me his latest trips there, had to be via helicopter.
