If they're so enlightened, why do they need a Risk Management Foundation?
Created by the Sigma Chi Fraternity in 1988, the Risk Management
Foundation (RMF) is a not-for-profi t 501(c) (3) education foundation
established to provide members with risk-management resources focused
on education, prevention, and preservation.
RMF is a separate organization from the Fraternity. More than 400
Sigma Chi entities, mostly active chapters and house corporations, are
members of the RMF and are bound by its regulations. Membership in the
RMF is voluntary and available to any undergraduate or alumni chapter or
house corporation.
RMF provides support primarily to volunteer alumni advisors and to
undergraduate chapter offi cers, including Risk Managers who should serve
on the chapter’s Executive Committee.
Following lengthy discussions on the importance of continued
educational outreach, the RMF Board increased its ongoing commitment
to education by more than doubling the available budget for curricula and
resource development and face-to-face presentations.
As Lloyd’s Fraternity Program founder Jim Favor stated, “Face-toface interaction with as many of the members as possible is our best
opportunity to infl uence behavior and reduce potential claims.”
For further information about RMF materials and presentations,
please see RMFeducation.org.

Why can't we talk about the covenants outside the temple? Why can't you talk about them inside the temple? Do you really believe that God would hide the path to salvation behind 15 men, 15 questions, and a helluva lot of baggage? And then you can't talk about any of it? Sounds like a strange god to me.
Mark 4:
10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables.
11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that,
“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!”
Or if you prefer KJV.
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
I guess Jesus did, only it was 12 vs. 15 then I guess! But keep looking for negative things, some day you may find something. Not yet, it seems.
BTW if you don't accept Jesus' direct statement, well. there is no other source to turn to.
Secrets are meant to be kept.

The Black Supper?
Sounds kinda old school Book of Mormon-y to me.
Can we get Elder Stevenson in here to clean this up, please?
Ideally this ceremony should be conducted in a room large enough to
accommodate the entire chapter standing at one end as a group and the
candidates seated at a long table at the other end. The members are to be
dressed in black robes with hoods drawn over their heads.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait....
Are you telling me that Russell M. Nelson dresses up with others in black hooded robes?
Maybe something like this ….

As the initiates are brought into the room, each is on the arm of a guide,

a mark on the floor. There is no marching around the room and no gong.
The guides should remain standing behind the candidates until the Consul

Yes, I take his statements directly. And you again misquote him. He is being taken captive at night and responds that he spake openly and never hid. He doesn't and isn't talking about what he said, or parables or secret doctrines. He is speaking of where he was and that what he said was open. He is not discussing topics. Get a grip and put things in context please.endlessQuestions wrote: ↑March 7th, 2023, 9:22 pmJohn 18:19-20 teaches: "The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. Re: Endless Questions Sends a Cease and Desist Letter Because His Stake President is a Secret Society Member...
Reminds me of a funny story .
I was discussing satanism in the music industry with my cousin recently . Ozzy was his screen saver and he was wearing a big crucifix . I made a comment about how they confuse the run of the mill mamzy pamzy Christian’s who don’t want to offend the enemy because it just looks mean ; we don’t want to appear not to be Christian. I said that’s how they do it . They throw in a symbol that we recognize and we assume that we are on the same side even though for the last 60 years their fruits have taught those who observe otherwise.
He said “ I always wondered about Ozzy but was never sure .”
He served a mission and is in his mid 50’s and goes to church every week . I could have respected it more if he told me “yeah I know he’s a satanist but he really rocks !” But he told me he was never sure.
The only thing holding Ozzy together is bubblegum and demons
The cognitive dissonance is like a Jedi mind trick .

Re: Endless Questions Sends a Cease and Desist Letter Because His Stake President is a Secret Society Member...
In my teens I got into Heavy Metal, and Ozzy Osbourne was my #1 favorite. The music didn't make me interested in anything satanic, but there's an influence. At one point I felt strongly inspired to get rid of all of my Heavy Metal & Rock CDs and MP3s. And it's not that someone is bad for listening to this type of music, but if you want to be closer to the Spirit, I've noticed the types of music I listen to can influence that. It's same with various types of entertainment. It's not always about black & white, good & evil, but often it's a matter of how materialistic do you want your life to be vs how connected do you want to be to the Spirit. It can be difficult overcoming all the materialism we're inundated with.Light Seeker wrote: ↑March 8th, 2023, 2:36 pmI was discussing satanism in the music industry with my cousin recently . I’m just letting you know how your letters come across. They come across as coming from someone immature and demanding and overly accusatory. I think they may have had more merit if you hadn’t repeatedly demanded your calling back, asking to not have access to information and then demanding it back. Seriously, they come across as if from a mentally disturbed person.
I am not saying you are mentally disturbed. I’m just saying that’s how it comes across. I feel like you are so fevered you don’t know what you’re doing. At least that’s what it appears to me. I feel like you’re quoting the whole sigma chi handbook is you trying to justify your rashness.
You can trust Christ to take care of his chirch. He has got it in hand.

Just one quick point of clarification: I'm not asking for my calling back. I'm still the Ward Clerk. They've just taken away my systems access, so I can't do my job. If you needed me to cut you a check, I imagine your position might be a little different than it is from where you are in the cheap seats.
I'm not the first person who has stood up for their rights who has been accused of being mentally disturbed, am I? It's kind of how the abuse game is played. Turn the screws a bit, wait for the person to react, then call them crazy for reacting. Invoke the trauma response, plead your innocence, and blame the victim. Nothing new under the sun.

I agree with this statement — as long as you’re not suggesting that any mortal intermediaries have anything covered or completely in hand at this point. That’s why I’m more inclined to just try to stay out of His way, while those claiming to have everything in hand really seem to be running mostly amok. But I do have faith that He will straighten things out, and I seriously doubt He needs any help from me to do it.

I don’t think that you are mentally disturbed at all. I think that is how it comes off. The totality of the emails. Rash, petulant, making leaps of reason to accusations of the worst kind. Maybe mentally disturbed is not the right phrasing. I think mentally unstable might be a better way to put it. I do not know if you are mentally unstable. There have been many times in my life when I was not mentally stable. I just don’t think those emails did you justice or any good. I think you should not have picked that particular calling battle bc that is not your main problem with the church and it just made you look bad.endlessQuestions wrote: ↑March 8th, 2023, 4:50 pmThanks for the feedback.
Have a great night!

I’m amazed at how many people enjoy sitting on the sidelines, chipping in their two cents.
I’ll just say this: the people who take the time to actually contact me don’t ever seem to walk away feeling that I’m mentally unstable. You’re free to reach out as well, to judge for yourself, if you’d like. Then you can report back here and tell people what you think.

Re: Endless Questions Sends a Cease and Desist Letter Because His Stake President is a Secret Society Member...
I’m just telling you how those emails come across. I have prayed for the Lord to help you in your predicament. I hope the best for you. I worry that you are taking the wrong approach. I don’t know if you can see how it is coming across. I think you are too close to the situation and need a trusted friend to vet your communications for unintended undertones. I respect that you are trying to stay on the church and work from that side. I know that the Lord loves you and knows all that is going on in your life.endlessQuestions wrote: ↑March 8th, 2023, 8:27 pmSure.True wrote: ↑March 8th, 2023, 5:35 pmI don’t think that you are mentally disturbed at all. I genuinely appreciate it.True wrote: ↑March 8th, 2023, 4:31 pm I’m just letting you know how your letters come across.

The two cents you see me giving you, you are giving your stake president and president of the church so I didn’t think you would mind so much. I honestly think you need to know what it looks like from this side and no one is honest enough to tell you and help you out.
