In my experience, 99% of bishops wouldn't know what discernment was if it walked up and slapped them in the face. Discernment requires correct knowledge and I have yet to meet one single bishop, stake president, or Area Seventy, or any of the leadership who understands or even knows what Joseph Smith taught about discernment. What the Church teaches about discernment does not resemble what Joseph taught.

Pronography isn't a good thing. It's no better for a person now than it was 100 or 1,000 years ago.

I guess the main issue is the softening of the Church's stance towards homosexuality as a result of external societal pressure. It is hypocrital for say a so-called "progressive Mormon" to bend over backwards accepting and promoting homosexuality while demonizing pronography use. Quite frankly, open homosexuality is a far more grievous sin than pronography use. But one thing that is often overlooked is how closely related the two are.
