Endless Questions Considers This Matter Closed

Post by endlessQuestions »

All,

I apologize for the delay in updating you all. Tricky business, this inadvertent whistleblower stuff.

Today was a day full of miraculous events and conversations, which culminated with an unexpected response from the audit team I served on that I am obligated by my word of honor as a former Stake Auditor not to disclose.

I do, however, feel justified in sharing my response to this individual’s message to me, as it contains no information I am obligated not to disclose publicly.

Here is my response:

#### BEGIN ####
<redacted>,

Thank you for the response, and particularly for your willingness to pray for the welfare of myself and my family. It is much needed during this time of intense stress amidst what appears to many to be punitive and retaliatory behavior by my Stake Priesthood leader, an admitted member of the same secret society that President Nelson is a member of (Sigma Chi, not Skull and Bones).

I am glad to hear this issue has been escalated and will leave it to the Church’s corporate structure to further investigate this issue and attempt to resolve it according to what I hope is a well established set of policies and procedures that have been in place for a time such as this. I know the Church employs many talented individuals and contractors, and engages with some of the world’s premier companies in the space of application security, and will look forward to hearing more in the future (as a member of the Church, and nothing more) about any findings regarding how what I experienced as an auditor occurred and what steps were taken by the Church to remediate any potential security risks in the current auditing process. My hope is that the Church will choose to be as transparent as possible, as I have learned from sad experience that in both individual lives and corporate entities, secrets breed sickness, which can eventually lead to terminal system failures.

As I mentioned in an earlier communication, in my opinion this is a wonderful opportunity for the Church to potentially begin rebuilding trust with the world at large, but particularly with it’s membership, many of whom are experiencing severe faith crises as they seek to make sense of how one can continue to sustain their leaders after the troubling reality of how our tithes have been mismanaged by Ensign Peak and The Council on the Disposition of Tithes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the last twenty years (as revealed last week in the now infamous SEC Order).

Please know I will be praying for all involved, and that my most sincere desire is that the findings of those responsible for looking into this will be that this was a misunderstanding rooted in a lack of good training for everyone involved in the situation. I will also be praying that if it turns out there is a situation where something more serious has occurred, wherever repentance is needed, repentance will be pursued, and forgiveness will be granted after the repentance process is completed. I do feel that at this point, although I can not claim to be blameless throughout the process, I can, through the gift of repentance, claim in good conscience to be blameless before God in this matter at this time, and am grateful to consider this matter closed as it relates to my involvement.

Sincerely yours as a true brother in Christ,

Justin

#### END ####

Now.

I need to attend to my family.

I have several severely traumatized family members that need their Daddy and husband to be with them, not hanging out at the “dive bar of the Mormon blogosphere”.

I also need to utilize my support team to help me process the trauma that I have experienced over the past several days.

I will be back once my little corner of the vineyard is cleaned up in such a manner that spending time here is justified. Until then, carry on with the questioning, dear friends.

And keep your eyes on the abuse thread, where I will exclusively be working upon my return until my six month departure from LDSFF begins on April 7th, 2023.

Good night, and God bless.

Justin

If he wants to call his favorite online hangout a "dive bar", I'm fine with that. But it's nothing close to being the dive bar OF the "Mormon blogosphere".
