I'm not about to try to clue them in, since I've had 4 or 5 posts deleted for being no different than how I write and what I write about here

as the webmaster of this site I certainly won't be deleting posts... except for those ones that were just spam... if someone does post lies or apostate comments I would just hope that other members of the forum would correct the statements with follow-up posts.

I suppose that Moroni knew that even Latter-day Saints wouldn't believe the truth about the Secret Combinations, or would be ignorant or asleep to the truth and that's why he said:

"the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you"

regarding gangs, terrorists, etc.. there's nothing to wake up to, those groups actions are obvious, and not operating in secret. they do kill people, but not with oaths to lucifer and not in secret, they aren't trying to hide anything. it's a shame that so many LDS people are deceived regarding a topic that the Lord felt was so important for us to learn about.

that's what I get for making my first post a controversial one about the Secret Combinations.

I think they thought that the only reason I was on the forum is to talk about secret combinations... that is not true. I was already a member and had posted in the past under a different user name, but I decided "latterdayconservative.com" was too long so a made a new one: ldsconservative...

they didn't kick me off the forum, but they did lock that thread thinking that it was troll bait. That was not my intention. I was just there to share what the prophets said.

That's interesting that they shut you down. I have actually had conversations/participated in other forums that are much more controversial than anything you wrote. I thought you actually were quite professional in sharing some of your thoughts. I'm surprised they didn't let the discussion go on longer. I thought it would have been good to hear other people's thoughts (even if they disagreed).

Anyway, even though I don't necessarily agree with the Nauvoo forum closing that thread, I still think it definitely serves a good purpose. I guess we all just have different roles. I do think some people are missing the boat completely, but then others I think know that something is going on, but they just continue to quietly go about their business doing a lot of good in the world. For me, after learning in more detail about "secret combinations", etc. I just feel it's something that I need to share. Others are still worrying about other good things, while having that quiet understanding that something's going on, but God is still in control. It's just the remaining few that still seem to think that "All is well in Zion" that confuse me. Oh well, I guess we run with the role where we feel can do the most good.

I don't know who Will Markham is, but what's your thoughts on his Book of Mormon timeline? (This was from that same Nauvoo forum thread)

The entire book serves as a sociological timeline and political parallel, from:
- Discovery in 1 Nephi
- Colonization & Kingship from 2 Nephi - Mosiah
- Democracy in Alma
- Capitalism in early Helaman
- Oligarchy in late Helaman
- Anarchy & Tribalism in early 3 Nephi
- 2nd Coming in late 3 Nephi
- Milennium in 4 Nephi

I would like to throw my worthless 3 cents in here...I know they are worthless because I got them in change for an FRN.

I believe the prophets are telling us everything we need to know. They do not know specific timelines. Our Heavenly Father has to let us use our agency. Will we submit our will to our Heavenly Father?

We are warned. Whether we survive a catclysmic event is not important. What is important would be..."Were we obedient?"

One tattoo won't hurt. Actually physically it will, but the point is one tattoo is not OK. The Prophet said...no tattoos. He said one pair of modest earrings for girls and ladies. What else is left to discuss?

We are told to store up water, food supplies, fuel, etc.

We are to educate ourselves about these things. There are many resources. If you need to and your reprioritization calls for it...stop going out to the chinese restaurant three times a week for a while.

I really have to take it simple because I am not bright enough to out think the Lord or His prophets.

Concerning gangs, satanists, luciferians, etc. Some may have not made a face to face deal with Lucifer (Real Luciferians thinks satanists and gangs are a joke and add confusion and fodder to the mix).

You are either working for Christ. Or you are not.

Just to clarify something on this (original piece) with my 2 cents,

the 1890 manifesto is true, but not the way we always interpret it in the Church. In a way the original writer is correct ... however while individuals may apostatize, even high ups like Judas, Cain, and Thomas B Marsh, the collective Prophets and Apostles will never lead us astray.

So ... to say X apostle will never go astray = not quite true ... none are immune to error. Never in the history of dispensations has any Prophet or Church leadership been immune to error or apostacy ... even Joseph Smith lost his translating ability for a time, and thankfully he repented.

The Prophets *have* foreseen all these calamities, and have even stated the great conspiracy of the NWO in plainness in General Conference, but the Church has ignored them, so the Lord has ignored sharing this topic. (see McKay and Benson's talks regarding Communism and its origins)

As for the writers forecasting of the Church selling out to the NWO ... such an error is possible, and has been repeated by Israel to Babylon on multiple occasions. Regarding this topic, all we really need to know is to:
1- prepare
2- follow the Spirit first and foremost

The warning of the destruction of Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front is worthwhile, but such a prophecy is for the enlightment of the individual who receives the revelation and those who he has a stewardship over. I also agree that you need the guidance of the Spirit to discern truth fron error. Only the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can receive revelation and speak on behalf of the Church. When you receive information from unathorized sources and second and third-hand information, it is subject to error. We all need to repent and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ if we are to avoid the calamities of the last days.

All this reminds me of the many examples in the Book of Mormon:

1- Lehi being warned by the Lord to gather his family and flee Jerusalem
2- Nephi being warned of the Lord to gather his family and flee Lamanites (2 Nephi 5:5-6)
3- King Benjamin's father being warned by the Spirit to gather large group and flee ... finding Zarahemla (Omni 1:12-13)
4- Alma the Elder gathers a group to flee King Noah, being led by the Spirit
5- the brother of Jared gathers friends and family and is led by cloud by day and pillar by night (Ether chapters 2 & 3)

No *place* will be safe, but a Zion people who are prepared will find direction and protection through the Lord. (D&C 29:7-8 )
