Bloody hell this is so indefensible.

I just read the first part of the story to some Brethrenite family who agreed that the idea of drag queen story hour with five year olds was sick. I just wondered what they would think if I read the statement from the Church.

While I think this protest is interesting, I honestly have to wonder why even do this type of thing. I mean, the parents who are brining their children to this type of thing know EXACTLY what they are doing. I’m not sure how many children just show up to a Drag Queen Story Hour.

I must be showing my age because I remember when drag acts were either Widow Twankey and the Ugly Sisters in the local pantomime or a risqué comedy routine. Now we're supposed to take them seriously?

BTW I did see the wokesters saying pantos were transphobic.

It's not just about the actual "drag queen story hour". Do you think these freaks are going to come to a local library and just leave? No, I can guarantee that they bring with them pamphlets, books, flyers, etc. promoting all this. These materials are dropped off at the library. I'm sure books are recommended and suggested to the library to be more "inclusive".

You have to understand what this is really all about . . .infiltration at every level of society of sexual perversion.

I understand their agenda. They read books about queers, bisexuals, and gender transitioning. It’s awful what is happening. but at some point Babylon will consume itself, the Lord will burn the cities or cover them with earth.

They're already in the library. Our local ones have gay and trans flags up. I thought it was so called Pride Month apparently not.

I seriously doubt the church would respond if a group of members did the same kind of protest at, say, a Jordan Peterson speech. These kinds of things only happen in one direction nowadays.

He is a coward. That's what all these weak leaders do . . .run and hide. They do not want to face the music and own up to their mistakes and just apologize (which would frankly go a long way). They sweep it under the rug; act like it never happened.

He probably didn't want his friends, family, wife, kids, all the other people he is connected to . . .to realize how much of a wicked leader he is.

Really good scripture - applied righteously, would prevent any such perverse abominable minds from being anywhere near children ( "kids" as they call them in the Idaho article - that they care soooo much about) as a man thinketh

As an East-Idahoan, when I heard this had happened I was so blown away by the incredible planning and effectiveness of the protest. It wasn't about pickets and shouting. It was literally just to protect children, and to witness quietly to the drag queens as the protesters quietly read from their bibles and prayed. One of the attendees wrote in to the Steve Deace show to share what it was like to participate, and how it had all been planned and so flawlessly executed, and Steve Deace read that letter over the air. My husband and I were in tears hearing the account. I couldn't believe this method hadn't been thought of before. I was so happy to learn that members of the church had participated, and that it took place here in fake-conservative-idaho. So imagine the embarrassment and the disgust I now feel that this remarkably peaceful and loving protest is condemned by the corporate church. Damnit.

wonder what kind of statement the corporate church would've issued when captain Moroni ripped his coat, prayed mightily to God, went out rallying the people, and then had those who refused to join the covenant of freedom put to death.

The post was up for several days before I posted a link to it here just after lunch. Several people posted our opinions, nicely, one even using a GA quote, and he took it down within the hour.

That was his doing, not direction from SL.
