I get that this is just one statement from a presumably “rogue” SP, and we don’t judge the church by the actions of a lone wolf, but in reality, this is what decades of conditioning has created.
"said Cameron D. Brower, Chubbuck Idaho Stake president and the local representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Tuesday's statement."
Who is the "local representative"? Is that the Bishop or the area leadership. There is no way the SP puts out a response unless either 1) he had approval or 2) he FELT he had approval.
One thing people forget or disregard of they have never been in leadership. Leaders don't do something like this unless the have or feel they have reasonable assurances that those who are above them in the hierarchy would approve of their actions.
The idea of a "rogue" leader is foolishness bc we all know how the Church operates and that any "rogue" leader would have a very good talking to if they went " rogue".
He CLEARLY felt that his actions are the actions that the Church would WANT him to do.

The progressive leftists...Q15, who run the church are the one's responsible for this "love train" BS that has allowed evil to flourish.

Problem is when good men do nothing...they are no longer good men.

Not much worse than this Primary song:
Follow the prophet, follow the prophet,
Follow the prophet; don’t go astray.
Follow the prophet, follow the prophet,
Follow the prophet; he knows the way.

It's clear that the church is on a path of molding It's members to be UN good global citizens. No independent thought or actions allowed. Follow our lead...we won't take you astray.
But they most certainly have already...with the urged Godsend...and many other progressive left policies. Like Jim Jones minus the Koolaid.
We on on a freeway leading to hell. Everyone must choose their own off ramp.

Seriously though, would this Stake President allow one of the ward buildings be used as a safe place for drag shows?
Visitors welcome. No hate here.
It would be hateful to keep drag queens away from church. Maybe there should be a drag queen church attendance day and we can all be so loving and welcoming.

To hell with these arseholes.
"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did not sanction or support these protests. Our faith does not support divisive or hateful behavior toward our brothers and sisters. We strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ to love one another,” said Cameron D. Brower, Chubbuck Idaho Stake president and the local representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Tuesday's statement."
What is wrong with our church leaders!?! Why does the priority have to be the perverts? We as Latter-day Saints are going to be sucked into the judgments talked about in Ezekiel and Jeremiah. I love these dear people (the sweet, common members) but judgments are coming. It will start on the church first. What a heartbreak.

In the article, the NAACP takes the same stance as our church. Our church gave the NAACP $9M, remember?

Seriously, the church is really going too far with their policy statements lately. We are to condemn sin just like the prophets did in the scriptures. It is our
DUTY to do so.

When taken in context of what the Church did in Florida, siding with the LGBTQ/Groomers in repealing the "Don't Say Gay" law, it's not rogue, it's par for the course now.

It’s all to keep the corporation on the side of the PTB in govt so there is not adverse attention focused upon the “church”…(err…corporation).
The slap-your-hand Ensign Peak fine is a minor infraction, which shows the public (those that actually look) that the church corporation has been corrected in its behavior, to fully comply with the PTB.
God is so far away from the daily working affairs and policies of the current organization located at 50 East North Temple, that it will take an extraordinary reason for Heavenly Father to send his Son down to direct any affairs.
It’s almost like CEOs of major multinational corporations, who can maintain plausible deniability of the goings on with local branches when caught in fraud or other wrongdoing.
The levels of management between the CEOs and the branch managers of the business is so thoroughly insulating, that the uppermost level of leadership have really no awareness of what happens among the boots-on-the-ground workers.
We have made God into our own image, and expect Him to operate within our own personal paradigm of (limited) education and experience.

I heard about this on the Steve Deace show. Since it was southeast Idaho and the person writing Deace about it was from Rexburg, I assumed the LDS Church members were spearheading this. Were members involved in the protest against this stake president’s advice? I hope so.

So, no protests allowed now? Just kumbaya and hold hands and give the world a Coke? We just stand by while bad actors indoctrinate kids? Anything they don't get to do is hate and divisive? The plan of salvation is divisive. Heck, voting is divisive. Do they think Prop 8 wasn't divisive?! What the ?@!
