Thank you for your comments and sharing your feelings and concerns regarding the statement that was made in the Idaho State Journal by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints concerning the recent protest in Pocatello.
Hopefully, I can clarify why the church made the statement.
We know that Church members are encouraged to participate in political and governmental affairs.
Also, Church members who seek elected or appointed public office should not imply that they are endorsed by the Church or its leaders. Leaders and members should also avoid statements or conduct that might be interpreted as Church endorsement of any political party, platform, policy, or candidate.
Unfortunately, the original article in the Idaho State Journal concerning the protest implied that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorsed and supported the protest along with other Christian churches which was not true.
The protest consisted of private citizens some of whom happen to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and members from other Christian churches.
Because of my role as the priesthood advisor for Communications and Media Relations in the Pocatello Area, my name was attached to the statement which came from church headquarters. Therefore, the Church made the statement for clarification through me, the local representative of the Church.
And yes, I agreed to have my name attached to the statement and to represent the church in this area and concerning this matter.
Once the article was updated, there were some adjustments made to the original article, including the Church’s official statement.
Therefore, it was an official statement from the Church and not just “opinion” of a local stake president.
I strive to follow Jesus Christ and His teachings. I know He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I strive to be one with God and one with His Son, Jesus Christ. I strive to follow the two great commandments of loving God and loving my neighbor. I sustain Russell M. Nelson as the living prophet of God at this time and I strive to align myself with he and the members of The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
I sincerely hope this helps and that there can be peace on the matter.
I am not going to comment any further on this matter and will not get into “back and forth” discussions in this feed.
I also reserve the right to remove this post at any point in time I deem necessary, including personal attacks on myself or my family.

I believe it is hateful and immoral to host a Drag Queen event for children. I believe it is hateful to take children to such an event. Up to now, I've resisted the idea that the Church was in bed with these people (groomers, pedophiles, the popular agenda for 2030). You have opened my eyes. I don't know whether to feel disgusted or just accept it as part of the train wreck the LDS leadership has become.spiritMan wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2023, 4:44 am https://www.idahostatejournal.com/freea ... 8bf88.html
To hell with these arseholes.
"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did not sanction or support these protests. Our faith does not support divisive or hateful behavior toward our brothers and sisters. We strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ to love one another,” said Cameron D. Brower, Chubbuck Idaho Stake president and the local representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Tuesday's statement."

I know this vaccine was harmful to many people. I don’t need to read the stories l, because I know people that it personally effected. My dad passed away from covid and he was vaccinated. You don’t have to educate me. I am well educated about harmful vaccines and I did my own research. I’m sorry for the heartache that was caused to these people, it’s truly devastating.Reluctant Watchman wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2023, 8:26 pmSpend some time reading or listening to their stories. I share this because I have read all of them. Hundreds and hundreds of stories. And guess what? People have shared these with the first presidency. They know it is killing people. And to this day they drum the mantra “safe and effective” “God gave us a vaccine.”Badgerone45 wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2023, 8:31 pmI know this vaccine was harmful to many people. I feel bad for the STK President. Probably a decent man who is just trying to do his duty what he thinks is right, and is worried about his congregations.
Then the media firestorm hits for something he probably didn't know about.
