I for one am so thankful for the plandemic .
It allowed me an opportunity to recognize those I wouldn’t want to interact with…..
I wish those that chose to wear masks were still wearing them .
Makes the process of identifying friend and foe so easy …

My husband sometimes wears a mask to this day.... while driving alone in his car...
(In his defense, he has PD and cannot always connect all the dots....)
But he is definitely not a foe. (unless you grow tired of his skills in the parking lot of the grocery store...)
Love and patience for our fellow man will win more hearts ~ just sayin.
I appreciate that .
I’m sure your husband is a good man.
Of course there will always be some exceptions to the rule.
Generally a rock solid observation though . Not my job to win hearts and minds at this point. Just identify those I choose to avoid . It’s a good leading indicator of their personal philosophy generally .
I don’t attack them .
They should be allowed to practice free will just as I am .

I’m sure there may be some good people here on this forum who have worn a mask and or still do. I don’t begrudge them that if that is the direction they have been directed through inspiration.I would like to think I would be able to see their intent through further observation and not base it on just the mask .
I make the same distinction however with jello color hair dyes.

I don't think so, people are agents unto themselves, they become deceived by the lie and believe the lie. The Choice is always there and most don't even realize they are agents (and because they don't know, they aren't). Agents know whom they serve. YOu destroy the lie through truth and they will almost always choose good. Circumstance, and lies and things that happen in life trap individuals into thinking a certain way - usually sel focused. Satan's war isn't with you or me, it is with the Kingdom of God. His goal is to demonstrate we really don't love God, and htat we love ourselves and are and will be gods unto ourselves. His attack wasn't on Adam and Eve in the beginning it was on the life that GOd provided them. Satan messed with their heads, they believed the lie (well Eve did, Adam knew it wasn't and transgressed, rather than seeking God on the matter) and fell.

I am wondering if this is
a church wide unity push to get more people to comply with things that they normally wouldn't do to "take one for the team" and not be selfish.
Am I on to something here?
Anyone else seeing what I see and have examples? In the name of unity, will the selfish/independent thinkers eventually be cast out unless they get on board?
I think it might be a church-wide push, but ours locally has nothing to do with masks. Just last Sunday, for the combined 2nd hour, "unity" and "being kind" was the topic of the class, which our barely 30-year old bishop taught. The whole hour was nothing but a politically correct, woke fest - something you'd hear on a day-time talk show, Hollyweird award show, or CNN/MSNBC. It was awful. We were told by our new RS president (a woman who gets up in
every single testimony meeting and bawls for 20 minutes about how depressed she is - not even kidding - and now she's the leader of the women in our ward), that her middle-school aged daughter brought a friend home from school recently - a boy who wants to mutilate and destroy his body to become a "girl", who was "coming out as transgender" (her exact words), and she felt it her Christ-like duty to refer to him as a she/her, so she did - and further enabled his confusion and/or mental illness. That is NOT "being kind" - that is harming and further damaging the poor, deluded boy. The bishop stood there the whole time she was talking, nodding his head in agreement - and then said something to the effect of, "It is our duty to love people no matter what, and be kind and supportive - because that's what Christ would do - we need to accept people as they are and not try to change them." Oh that's right! I remember now. Our example in all things, Christ, patted the woman accused of adultery on the head, and told her to just go ahead and keep committing adultery, if that's being her true self, if that's her "truth", because he's so kind and loving and accepting and tolerant.
Where's that scripture that says the ONLY thing our generation is supposed to do is preach repentance? Has that been taken out of our scriptures? Nope, still in mine - Doctrine and Covenants 19:21, 31 - Moses 6:57 - D&C 58:43 - Mosiah 18:20 - Alma 37:33 - Doctrine and Covenants 18:41–42 - Doctrine and Covenants 53:3, etc. etc. etc.
The whole hour was like that - a mass of politically correct wokeness and Babylonian attitudes pouring out of everyone's mouths, but especially our bishop and new RS president. The bishop ended it by saying, "Nothing should prevent us from being unified, whether we're Democrats or Republicans, we should be INCLUSIVE and TOLERANT and find joy in our DIVERSITY - because we all follow Christ, so political differences don't matter." Well, I'm sorry, but if someone believes it's fine and dandy to rip a baby in the womb, limb from limb, murdering it - I don't want to be unified with you, and no, you are NOT following Christ if that's your belief and you support that. If you believe it's fine and dandy to forcibly STEAL from one person and give it to someone else, no, I don't want to be unified with you, and no, you are NOT following the Savior. If you believe it's fine and dandy to enable and coddle mentally ill/possessed people who think they're the opposite sex, or who are openly and proudly wanting to have sex with the same sex, or perverts who are grooming little kids, no, I don't want to be unified with you, and no, you are NOT following Christ.
So this is a huge quandary, and can't just be happening in our ward. Is it possible to be unified with those who have diametrically opposed beliefs from what is taught (or used to be) in the gospel and the scriptures? I'm not suggesting anyone be "mean" or anything of the sort. But "kindness" and "never offending" now reigns supreme and has replaced truth and God's law. I see this not only in our stake, but coming from the 15/General leaders, as well. The 2nd commandment is now the ONLY one preached - the
1st Great Commandment is now defunct, old fashioned, outdated, gone, never spoken of. "Love" means something different to every person on earth - and in today's PC vernacular, it means never mentioning truth or God's law.
Or maybe I'm wrong? Maybe people who march in gay pride parades, and who promote transgenderism/mutilation, and drag shows for kids, and who support abortion and theft and slavery - who give money and time and effort to these Satanic ideologies - and who desire to remove everyone's liberty and agency - maybe those people will be in Zion? Because that is what we're being taught in our ward. That's what unity and kindness and love means here, and it's coming from SL, too.
What an on-fire post you just created. Exactly! Yes! 100% on target!
Telling a transgender person that they're right and they should go ahead and have surgeries is like agreeing with the anorexic patient that they're fat and should go ahead and get a gastric bypass. What's the difference? Nothing.
And repentance = change. What that bishop and the rest of them are doing is anti-repentance...it's the complete opposite.
Sad. Very sad. Extremely distressing.
I've been seeing the same things in my ward.

You are sweet and it would be a pleasure to meet you. There are several members of this forum that I would enjoy having as neighbors...
To the best of my knowledge PD is not hereditary.... and then they confuse me by stating that there are known genetic links??? They believe one main cause "might" be exposure to chemicals. I am wondering about ties to long term use of medications for other issues.
My husband was on gabapentin for several years due to a neck injury. He was also exposed to chemicals at the plants around Houston...
Then there is the possibility of being hit in the head too many times playing football???
Best of luck to you. It is a testimony growing experience that I do not wish on others.

I think in the seventies and eighties, dyed hair like that was fairly edgy and groundbreaking. Like many such things, it's ended up conformist as every other young person and their dog is doing it. It's at the stage where it is now more rebellious and disconcerting to dress up like Abraham Lincoln or even Teddy Roosevelt than RuPaul or Marilyn Manson. In fact, I'd be more amazed by a teenager saying that they want to be Catholic monk or nun and live on a mountain than a polychromatic, polygender, polysexual online activist. There are some signs that some young people are bucking the trend.

The scary thing I noticed was lots of these examples showing up as Young Women’s leaders and advisors in many wards . Oftentimes these were the same ones that bore their testimonies and talked about anxiety and being on meds.

This is it. This is the secret to problems of "unity". I've not noticed or been approached about "unity" specifically in a Church capacity or in lessons that I recall. Admittedly, most of my recollections of church attendance generally over the past few years involve crayons, dry cereal, and crying babies. The reason that there are possibly issues with unity in the Church is because there is an obvious push to widen the tent. The tent is a place for safety and learning, but it's become wide enough that danger and foolishness are increasingly accepted and even preached.
We must be unified in Christ, yes, I agree. But we must be unified in Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ can never have unity if there are those within it who espouse anti-Christian doctrine, then turn around and talk about how "Jesus would do it." He loves us too much to endorse or enable transsexualism. He loves us too much to endorse or enable murder at any age. He loves us too much and suffered too much on behalf of a plan espousing individual liberty to promote any kind of theft, no matter how noble the supposed (and often not-lived-up-to) reason.
There can only be unity in His Church if we follow His doctrine. Tolerance is treating someone transsexual or covered in tattoos or whatever else as a fellow child of God, not encouraging the behavior. None of us are acceptable "just the way we are". All of us must change to be more like Him. That is why we have taken His name upon us.

Well put.
The greatest commandments are FIRST, to love the God of TRUTH… then, love others as well as ourselves.
Admittedly, I’m still working on this, especially in loving those who have gone along with ideas I consider immoral. I know that every single person on this planet has both strengths and weaknesses & have potential to harm, as I do. One of our important challenges in life, I think, is to understand ourselves enough so that we don’t take out our weaknesses by harming others - knowingly or subconsciously. But as it is, we are all some degree of unaware & thus boundaries are needed for all. Maybe it is precisely these boundaries that allow us to unify with others based on the GOoD that we have & believe in common.
What do we all have in common?
We are children of God.
We are all spiritual beings having this unique human experience like toddlers learning to walk by faith.

It's all about LOVE...
LOVE is LOVE...
If you Don't LOVE, WE will "HURT" you...and it will be justifiable....

I appreciate that sister . I also thank you for all you add here in this forum . The free flow of ideas is important .
I am unclear however what the PD is that you referred to. We need all the good parking lot attendants we can get in this world . It definitely is a hard job dealing with so many uncaring members of the general public .
PD is short for Parkinson's Disease. He was diagnosed the day before his 50th birthday. We have days when the neurons do not connect so well.
Thank you for explaining .
May Heavenly Father continue to bless you both . That is a long hard road .
Lost my father to Parkinson’s and my mother has it now . So it may be in my near future . I need to look into it to see if it is hereditary . I guess I have steered clear of thinking too much about it .
It would be an honor to know both of you judging by what I have seen here in this forum . .
I am glad to know that it is not hereditary.
Though I am behind the 8 ball on head injuries. One night I took 5 strikes to the head with baseball bats. "They" (4 x 1 odds) left me for dead. Must not have been clean enough strikes for the coup de gras. The broken leg was the least of my worries that night. I have since acquired some more wholesome hobbies. Aaah youth . I wouldn't go back and do it again even if I could.
Also spent 5 years in some of those chemical plants ( North Dakota ) exposed to the nasty production chemicals.
So unfortunately PD may well be in my not too distant future.....

YOUTH INDEED! That is a very scary picture that you painted. It is a wonder that any of us graduated to adulthood.
I pray that you do not get PD. If it happens, I hope that you have a good support group. It would not be an easy solo journey.
