Transportation Security Administration (TSA) undated handout image shows a composite of 4 separate scans, a female in the left two and a male in the right two, from a whole body scan machine, or millimeter wave machine being used at a security check point at the Salt Lake International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah. The new machine developed by New York based L3 Communications is in use for the first time today by passengers and takes a whole body scan penetrating clothing.
After all... we don't want those Arab terrorists pulling off another 9/11 again.

Talk about invasion of privacy!

I have been stunned out how little outrage there is about it. I forwarded info a few weeks ago to lots of people and most seemed to just kind of shrug about it. My husband said the last time he was at the airport in SLC they weren't informing people what it was really, you just got sent into it if you were standing in a particular line. Everyone did as they were told.
Until then we were under the impression that you would only be scanned if you set off the metal detector, and then you'd be given a choice to have the scan or to be searched by an officer. Not so. They weren't telling anyone anything about having a choice.
It makes me ill.

Me too... we're on the fast track to becoming a fascist police state (assuming our 'government' and currency doesn't collapse first).

So why are they not being brought up on charges of creating porn? You know these pics are going to go online or into a skin mag somewhere...
Too tempting a data resource to not exploit.
No foolin!

They claim the images aren't saved, but even if that were the case, you can't tell me one of these young TSA twits won't ever snap a picture with a phone, or otherwise plaster it on the net. You can't tell me there aren't some of these guys who will pick out certain people and send them in as a sick "favor". There are just so many ways for it to be abused, besides the fact that it's a gross invasion in the first place!
