For me; it's when the good guys all gather together, they gather their resources, they unite and they starve out the Gaddianton Robbers. Reminds me of the general message of "you matter more or you're stronger than you know".

I have to say that has always been one of the more, if not the most, inspiring story lines of the book.
The general message you refer to is true.
It is hard to fathom how little power Satan has over a person whose heart is continually fixed on the Lord.

Abish. She was pretty dang awesome for a lowly Lamanitish servant woman nobody paid attention to til she was the only one in all the kingdoms who knew what was going on.

Abinadi and Samuel the Lamanite were always two that I thought were awesome. Maybe it's because they had pictures of them in my BoM. But it was cool seeing them stand up for the cause.

The Anti Nephi Lehi's who suffered death because they were converted to Christ. 3 Nephi 14 refers to them as members of the true faith. I hope to be a member of the true faith.

King Lamoni's father willing to give up everything, including his kingdom, to know Christ.

Teancum, celebrating new year's eve by putting a javelin in the heart of Amalickiah. Pretty brave guy who just did what needed to be done.
My favorite though is 3 Nephi 17. The love shown by the Savior is incredible.

Moroni, the last of his civilisation. Avoiding Lamanites and apostate Nephites to hide up the plates.

King Lamoni's father's prayer has always impressed me:
17 And it came to pass that when Aaron had said these words, the king did bow down before the Lord, upon his knees; yea, even he did prostrate himself upon the earth, and cried mightily, saying:
18 O God, Aaron hath told me that there is a God; and if there is a God, and if thou art God, wilt thou make thyself known unto me, and I will give away all my sins to know thee, and that I may be raised from the dead, and be saved at the last day. And now when the king had said these words, he was struck as if he were dead.
I also feel like an Abishite Mormon - knowing things, but being unable to tell people about them.

Where Teancum assassinates Amalickiah. Would make a good action movie.
