Trump is a very small man — calls DeSantis “desanctimonious” again

Post by Christianlee »

Trump’s act is getting old just like he is. We are not even through the midterms and he’s trying to start a fight with Governor DeSantis. DeSantis hasn’t even said he is running against Trump. Trump is a very jealous man and demands the spotlight. He cares about himself more than he does the country. Trump was calling for lockdowns and DeSantis was one of the governors who ended them early. Trump cannot overcome his mishandling of Covid.

its not a good nickname. "ron decan'tis" would be better.

trump losing his *schoolyard bully* mojo would really make it hard for me to carry on supporting him.

Whatcha know about Ronnie D?

Might be a reason to pick a fight with him.

There’sa really interesting thread that’s hot on the board about secret societies. Might be relevant to this question, too. Or not.

Right. Exactly why did Trump call him desanctimonious? May have had a good reason.

I agree, but have a different view of what he is doing w his attacks. Most of those I'm aware of are in response to attacks mounted against him, some of them over long periods of time. I.e., far from being a bully, he's defending himself from bullies, or those bad-mouthing or attacking him. I love it, frankly. One of his endearing traits.

Trump is apparently being short sighted here. It would be foolish to pick a fight with DeSantis...and it would be foolish for DeSantis to pick a fight with Trump.

If they really wanted to BURY the Dems alive...then do a Trump-DeSantis ticket.

Even the evil Dems couldn't cheat their way to victory with that combination. Desantis could be POTUS in 2028.

They are both from Florida. Electors per the Constitution cannot vote for both a President and a VP from their state. The GOP can’t afford to give up Florida. Trump would have to declare residency in another state. I do not think Trump will ever choose DeSantis. Tulsi Gabbard seems to be auditioning for VP.

We are being played.

Again.

They are both part of the Club.

You would never have even heard of them if they weren't.

Is this squabble for real?

How would we know?

Why does it matter.

Like the House.

The Club always wins.

Because we keep coming back.

They stack the deck.

Rig the Roulette wheel.

Program the Slot machines.

Hire the pretty girls to pass out drinks.

And for other things.

Surround you with lots of flashing lights and Infotainment.

Sounds a lot like an election cycle to me.

And ultimately.

When you can't pay.

They sell your debt to someone who will beat it out of you.

We are almost there.

Don't hate the Banksters?

You should.

You will.

You better.

Apparently, the vast majority of Florida voters didn’t think they were being played.

DeSantis has real accomplishments in protecting people’s rights during the Covid debacle. Noem, Reynolds and Kemp have also bucked the Feds. DeSantis bucked Disney and the woke in Florida. Complete cynicism about every politician will lead to a complete loss of our freedoms. In the midterms we were beaten by selfish single women and Gen Z voters looking for Biden’s student loan handouts. They want a totalitarian socialist state. If you do not vote you are just handing it to them.

It's over for him. This is pathetic. Trump's thing was about winning. Fair or not, the mid-terms show if cheating is being used against Trump and his movement, nothing is improving the situation, giving hope that cheating would be overcome in 2024. And if no cheating is occurring, then he simply keeps losing. Two losses in a row while DeSantis is winning. Now he doesn't like DeSantis.

It's too much. Trump is diminishing returns at this point

It's now "die with Trump" fans vs "I like/liked Trump, but he can't win and it's time to move on" Trump fans, and never Trumper conservatives, and republican/conservative-leaning moderate and independent voters.

The voting base of Trump is dwindling while the other pockets of voting groups are rising. I feel bad for Trump. But this situation is not getting any better by him and his efforts. I know a lot of people who don't hate him and were once supporters of him but just don't have hope in his ability to win that have just lost interest and wish he would maturely step away. He is embarrassing himself and losing relevance.

The situation is reminding me of one of the proud Jaredite leaders who decided to just continue to bash his head against his foes, losing numbers of supporters, until the leader had nothing left. The situation is reminding me less of the admirable Nephite commander (was it Captain Moroni?) who literally actually did drain the swamp of corruption and secret combination from Nephite politics.

Rantingly is holding a poll asking who people would vote for tomorrow in a primary election. And Trump and DeSantis are virtually tied with Trump having slightly more votes. This is a big drop off from someone who crushed establishment-like opponents in the last primary
Christianlee wrote: November 10th, 2022, 6:58 pm Trump cannot overcome his mishandling of Covid.
Over and over he publicly spoke positively of efforts to make the covid vaccine and encouraged people to take it. I don't think someone has to be right 100% of the time to be of value, but his fanbase completely ignores every red flag he throws up while calling for the end of anyone who opposes him.

I am in complete agreeance.

Trump is nothing more than a distraction. He was put into power to help one side "feel" better.

He is very good at "Tell them what they want to hear... and they will vote for you" politics.

Stop being sheep. The right along with the left are quietly being led to slaughter.

Stop relying on "Man" to right the sinking ship.

Only Truth can save us.

Stop pretending that TRUTH can be found in wickedness.

You all are better than this!

Love, pure and simple...

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

This pure love will give you strength to face adversity. This I promise as it has been written.

A public "shot across the bow".

"Don't even think about it, Ron."

A good strategy? Does it make him look strong or weak? Confident or scared?

Why the $@#$ doesn't he just announce his run and ask for Ron's support? Get it out of the way instead of these pathetic jabs? It's only hurting him. It's almost as if it's all a show, and we're the marks.

He's supposed to make some sort of announcement on 11/15. Before the midterms happened, most seem to think it would be an announcement he is running. But now that mid-term results have been so lukewarm, I wouldn't be surprised if plans have changed.

What makes you think results were lukewarm?

If 90% of the people I endorsed won, I’d feel pretty good.

How many of the people DeSantis endorsed won their races (not a rhetorical question)?

From what I can see and from what I understand there was supposed to be a "red wave", where Republicans were going to pick up a lot of seats in the senate and the house, that was supposed to be a general turn to republicans or at least conservatism in local politics across the country. From what I'm looking at, Republicans have only ONE seat in the senate more than Democrats and a slight edge in the House, with one single more red governor than blue governors. Trump-picked Dr. Oz lost to a zombie, Arizona (crucial in a general election) seems to clearly still be leaning blue. You might say "well that's because elections are being stolen, watch this documentary", that doesn't solve the problem and that's where the conversation always goes with people who will die with Trump. If election interference happens this rampantly and nothing improved since 2020, we have no reason to believe things will be fair or accounted for in 2024 if we align with Trump again.

I hear you.

Remember, politics is a power game. One extra seat is all you need.

The power shifted dramatically towards Republicans, up and down the political spectrum. AZ is crucial, which is why they’re doing everything they can to muddy the water there. PA is a mystery, so I’ll let you have that one.

And please understand, I am not a Republican. I believe we are post Constitutional, in that the Constitution is only capable of governing a moral and religious people, and we are neither of those things as a whole. I just don’t like people being swayed by the media when the reality is quite different from what you’re being told.

There is no political solution to this problem. The Book of Mormon shows that clearly. Which is why it’s so important people prepare themselves for what’s to come, whether it’s this year, in five years, ten years, or a hundred.

I believe Trump was recruited to be a distraction and disrupter among the Republicans to allow Hillary to be elected.

They are after him now, they have too much on him. His only safe path is to keep being the agitator.

Either the Republican party will refine its impurities out and become a hardened steel sword , or it will be destroyed. Right now, it is going through this process. It is molten. Soft and malleable. Easily defeated by the Democrats hardened iron sword. Until then, the Democrats love keeping the Republican sword in the refiner's fire. If the two party system is to actually work, we gotta become the blacksmiths and do the work. Unfortunately, there is only one blacksmith holding both swords, and he ain't good.

But, good post.
