We come to Sinai in a movement of repentance and quest. We seek a new vision for humanity and its endangered existence, and we seek to receive and amplify a message of life-sustaining living and habits that humanity needs to hear today. In this spirit, the project partners will bring together premier religious leaders from the world’s major religions to put forth a prophetic interreligious call to action: “Ten Universal Principles for Climate Justice.”
What does it mean to put forth a prophetic call to action?

Can't wait for next conference...

"Prophets have always taught to be good stewards of the earth, that's why every good follower of Christ will reduce their carbon footprint"

1- gaslight that "it has always been the is way"
2- tie a person's compliance to a measure of their righteousness.

Unknown. Looking for some type of list now...I know the Pope is a headliner at this event.

The article says 44,000 people have registered to attend the COP 27 conference in Egypt.

Another climate conference, where 'leaders' fly in from around the globe, spend more money and create more waste and pollution so they can talk about saving poor people and the environment.

Hypocrites. Empty vessels.

I think I read or heard Nibley say ancient paganism was typically nature cults or mother earth worship.

There is no new thing under the sun.

I can't find out about any event in SLC

I really do hope it's not our church participating. I'll try to go if I can.

These kind of things need to be witnessed

We have always been directed to be good stewards of the Earth. It is in this vein that I reject the conference and those promoting its principles. Consolidating power from the many into the view invariably leads to environmental decay, even if a prophet of God were to call for it.

President Nelson is a prophet of God, I genuinely maintain this and cannot deny it-it's been witnessed to me by the same Spirit that also witnesses to me concerns over many things he's said. That is, he just doesn't have the spiritual "clout" to call on something entirely against sense. It's one thing when a trusted prophet invites positive change. It's another when a prophet has continually spoken against the perceived spirit of the Gospel, and that appeals to the Lord for understanding have continually, consistently resulted in "don't do that/don't go with that", whether:
Wu Flu,
Prompting to trust the very "experts" who lie to control and enslave us,
Being a national vs. global citizen,
Concerns over nonextant systemic racism solely against blacks,
Concerns over nonextant impending environmental catastrophe,
Talking about being bullies to non-members and non-Christians while I stand supporting non-members and non-Christians despite their bullying me,
Promoting public displays of affection by-and sponsoring of-same-sex relationships,
Funding Gadianton organizations...

If it were someone a little(/lot) closer to the teachings of the Book of Mormon who suddenly called on promoting something communistic I would at least pause and give it prayerful thought, but I admit to having run pretty low on "prayerful thought" to spare for the current leadership. I am unaware of the Church attending or promoting this material, but it is a sad concern that I can't insist that they will not or would not. The spiritual threats we face today aren't a false racism narrative or pollution, they are global election fraud and the use of (fraudulent!) government authority to silence or punish those who speak what is true.

Never say never. You can repent and be a good steward too.
Just wait until General Conference is suspended for Climate Conference.

Here is how you can get the most out of climate conference:

How does one post Tik Tok videos here?

There is plenty of information on how to access the documents and references people are asking for there in regards to this topic .

I can’t chase the documents down now because I’m out in the field.
