Hello folks.

I discovered this board from a video link posted by "Mullenite" on the City-Data board. I haven't taken the time yet to read anything here but plan to do that as soon as I can get to it.

Many years ago, although I don't recall if I ever officially joined, I was well acquainted with Cleon Skousen's "Freemen Institute." I met Cleon several times and was the organizer of a two day forum with Cleon as the featured speaker.

Writing as "justamere10" I have been quite active in promoting conservative principles online (google "justamere10" and visit my now mostly inactive Townhall blog http://mittromney.townhall.com). Recently though I have begun to focus much more on cyber missionary service, creating and administering the boards http://www.LDS1.org and http://www.CTR1.org and writing on quite a few other boards.

For several months I have been quietly encouraging my family and a few others to make it a high priority to convert dormant cash in bank accounts into food and emergency supplies. I have been telling them that I think Americans have been set up for the collapse of the US dollar, the establishment of a New World Order currency, and the government of Americans by persons and entities that are not American. It is my opinion that we as a nation are now so deeply in debt that we cannot pay it back and are thus at the mercy of international forces. Today that was confirmed by China calling for a new world currency to replace the failing USA dollar.

I'm not a pessimist, I'm actually thrilled to see things evolving so quickly towards the final events prophesied to take place prior to the Millennium. But it is my opinion, for all it may be worth, that America has already fallen over a precipice. We are still alive, breathing and flailing around, but the splat part of the fall is irrevocable, our American way as we know it will disappear.

May God bless us to each be ready and able to take care of our families, and to fully function in the roles we have been foreordained to carry out as these the final times of this world play out.

I visited the Freemen Institute office once when it was located on the BYU campus I think it was. I know there are offshoots but how did the Institute itself eventually cease to be?

I think I can partially answer your question .
The mission did not cease and continues with NCCS, http://www.nccs.net (National Center For Constitutional Studies).
Many people got off track and even apostatized and violated the rights of others. It was many of the Freemen in Montana etc.
These people may have been well educated in some areas but didn't excercise wisdom when they violated rights and properties of others by doing as the FED does and writing their own checks to people with nothing to back them etc.
This led to the Freemen Institute being terminated and the new organization titled NCCS.

How long have you lived in ST George area?

Welcome. I agree, we must never under estimate our influence for good. W. Cleon Skousen is a great example of that.
