Hello, I was led to this site by the Holy Spirit

Post by illuminating.Grace »

Hi everyone, I'm not a typical forum poster anywhere, however, the Holy Spirit revealed this website to me, I've reviewed it and I'm going to jump in. I'm in Colorado, and its way to cold today.

I'm an active member of the Church, have a callng (Aaronic Priesthood Specialist), I've known for the last 14 months of the seperation of Gods will and word from the false man made commandments that the church teaches. Ive only opened up to a few close people in the church regarding my beliefs and I can clearly see the errors, I'm at the point now that Im ready to open the flood gates.
I've been conferred the Aaronic and the Mechizedek priesthoods, I'm a married man and I love God.

I've received a few callings outside of the ecclesiastical church, and for the last 6 months Ive been working on combining all scriptures together, including the full JST translated old and new testament so that we have a single book of several books, and an App - Website of pure truth, which hasn't existed since the Church of Christ spinoff that Emma Smith was a part of, whome copyrighted the publishing rights of these precious truths, and our church refused to break copyright, thus nothing we read today is properly put together into one resource.

I desire what is truth, in its purest form, this drives me everyday to discern and errors in teaching. I do not believe the family proclamation, nor the rejection of the new and everlasting covenant / the full D&C 132, nor the words of wisdom being labeled as a commandment - it clearly says by principle and not by commandment at the top, nor support the often misleading incorrect chapter summaries to all the books, the long ridiculous list of added requirements to baptism interviews and other interviews.

I'll post more as I am able to in the general discussions.

I've been given a few gifts, that I will expound on as I get comfortable here, the gifts of knowledge, teaching, discernent, and prophecy are a few of them.

I believe that this is the true church, and it is filled with imperfect men, that the enemy has has a foothold in many areas therein, which will soon lead to the prophecies of Isaiah 27,28,29 - woe to Ariel -, Mormon 8, I won't list all the chapters, but the destruction of church is about to come about, due to the abominations had within. All offices are true, and the keys, but men have been unfaithful in their callings, in leading the church. This seemed to mostly start around Wildrow Woodruf + Joseph F. Smith ( the presidential pardon perdicament).
The rejection of plural marriage.

Anyhow, I belief I was led here to help me not feel like Im the only one who has their eyes opened to this stuff, and to help contribute to our awesome fellowship, to teach and grow.

Its nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the best forum there is. Oh, there is a photography forum that is pretty good, but the majority of members think the shot is a godsend.

I don't know of anyone that believes everything, but I have learned more about God, scriptures, and church in a year or so on here than 50 years attending services.

Welcome. You will find a wide diversity of points of view here. Some things you will jump up and say YES to; while others will seem arrogant and preposterous. I think we are all growing, and at different speeds and in different ways. I personally am trying to master the abilIty of allowing others to voice their point of view without contention or retaliation. Pain inevitably comes by putting ourselves out to others, and not being accepted as we hope to be. Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. ALL the rest of us are not.

The fact that you are here testifies that you are seeking to find answers for your yearnings.

In Christ. Best wishes…

Greetings from England and welcome to the forum.
Just one question; what's wrong with the Proclamation on the Family?

In my personal opinion the family a proclamation leads to too much focus on sex and gender. The purpose is to be swallowed up in Christ. So that is my issue with the proclamation. Yes gender/sex is an eternal identity, but more so, our lives are to be hid in Christ. Individuals focus way too much on their sexual identity rather than giving up self to embrace Christ. It has led to us as a people going down strange paths of seeking gods like "Heavenly Mother" - whether or not she is exists or not, the very fact that women or men seek after her feeling like they "need" the touch of a "mother" is a damnable doctrine and a fundamental misunderstanding of who our Father in Heaven is. They do not understand the endless love and mercy of our Father, they are letting their sex determine how they feel and their sexual identity identify with how they feel rather than fully embracing Christ and "denying" themselves. They do not realize or understand the promises of the Father and His Son and what the Holy Spirit's purpose is. God is good, He is amazing and to think He isn't enough and someone needs a "mother" means they do not love or know GOd and that gender/sex has become too implanted in their braines creating a deceptive stronghold which will lead to destruction if not brought down.

I agree. Tired of hearing about heavenly mother.
The church also focuses too much on the family. It’s become an idol.
Whether single, married, in a family or out, it’s irrelevant. Christ really didn’t speak of families. It’s no wonder the church has always had trouble retaining single people as they don’t fit in with “the club.”

I'm a bit shocked you said that. You're "tired" of wanting to know more about our Mother who created you, who has been set aside as nothing from almost the beginning? People are wanting to know more about Her and you're "tired" of hearing about Her? She's a God in all glory and respect for the word God, but I'm still sure it tugs at Her heart when people don't want to know Her.

Reluctant, the reason I said this is because I’ve learned a great deal over the last year. One of the main things is that I have wasted so much time on things that are not the doctrine of Christ which are contained in Mormonism. Heavenly mother is not doctrine and therefore, I don’t want to spend time on focusing on her.
God the Father wants me to focus on Him as well as my Lord Jesus Christ, which I have been doing incorrectly for years.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

If she does exist, I'm guessing she feels even worse that a person thinks knowing the Father would be different than knowing her. As if God, who is the creator of all life and all that is good doesn't quite suffice. Do you think she cares more about you knowing her, or more about your eternal salvation. "Love seeks not its own." Like I said, when we preach of heavenly mother, we are only saying we do not know the Father and His Son Jesus Christ whom He sent. In Christ there is neither male nor female. It isn't about male and female - it is about being produced in God's image and male and female are a method of reproducing God's image on earth if we submit and teach them in Christ's name.

Mother in Heaven is not a Mormon construct. And in written records Christ does speak of her. She is integral to all of creation. BTW, Christ's "doctrine" is far more expansive than LDS group-think. It is far more expansive than the Book of Mormon.

It is Satan's construct, since the beginning to erase the role of women. There is evidence in deleting women from scripture. Relegating women to not being looked at as having anything at all to do with redemption or planning sounds and looks like a doctrine of the devil. The native American's had it right, when they termed the ground we walk upon as "mother earth", and the expanse above us as "father sky." The creation was a joint effort, with Father and Mother taking part, as well as Michael, probably many others.

We worship Elohim.

Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾĔlōhīm: [(ʔ)eloˈ(h)im]), the plural of אֱלוֹהַּ‎ (ʾĔlōah), is a Hebrew word meaning "gods". Although the word is plural, in the Hebrew Bible it usually takes a singular verb and refers to a single deity, particularly (but not always) the God of Israel.

The Mother has been hidden from us from the very beginning of mortality for a reason. The Father has his reasons for this and I am content with that.

The Mother has been hidden from us from the very beginning of mortality for a reason. The Father has his reasons for this and I am content with that.
Men hid Her, not Father, not Christ. The only way she has been hidden is through corruption or disbelief.

Then why doesn't the Book of Mormon, the most correct book on earth, tell us all about her?

The BoM has many truths, but it's not a complete record of all things.

Agreed, but you would think that if God wanted the world to know all about our Heavenly Mother the Book of Mormon would at least have a few clear references to her.

God loves his wife. See the world take His name in vain and blaspheme. Why introduce your wife to such ridicule? He can tolerate you talking crap about Him. If you talk crap about his wife, he might change your skin color.

She's a God. We would be consumed if we entered her presence w/o transfiguration. I also don't get the sense that she offends easily.
