Why are you posting here if you don't like it? You're doing literally the same thing you disapprove of us doing. This is a Book of Mormon believing/secret combination/conservative focused forum. The LDS institute doesn't look the same as it used to. Following the Book of Mormon's warnings would make a softened heart feel differently and wary of the LDS institution, I'm not saying it would or should make any all not follow the LDS institute, but it's reasonable that some have stopped believing their claims of authority. You know what you'll get here, you disagree with it and you keep coming. How is that different from us watching and offering our commentary on conference?

The forum dropped the LDS from it's name? It's just the Freedom Forum now?

Is it just me, or does it feel like in this conference, the quality of talk is in reverse proportion to the status of the person giving it?

I feel highly fed by these leaders a bit further down the chain… some real good stuff!

Nelson probably went down and they gave us one hour of the choir in different dresses making me think it was a feed. . . not all live

perhaps they took down a shooter..I went one year and they did have to take down a guy in the congregation that stood up and started shouting

cameras avoided the man but today the cameras probably couldn't avoid what was going on.

If Moses was the wealthy leader of a multi billion dollar corporation, I wouldn’t have followed him. But he wasn’t. He was a prophet that prophesied and performed miracles. Prophets prophesy and perform miracles out in the open. The scriptures testify of this.

They're removing standards from Strength of Youth? They're trying to get out of LGBT conflicting doctrine. More changes will come. The writing is on the wall. This institution is dying spiritually

Church keeps losing proselytizing missionaries, so they are going to announce expansion of service missionaries for youth.

Maybe more ward RS president responsibility to fulfill 'Just Serve' assignments.

From my narrow, anecdotal perspective, I feel like the proselytizing mission forces are declining in quality of integrity found per missionary and in the experience the missionary gets on their mission. I would say it largely started with the covid measures impacting how a mission functions. There just seems to be something lost. You can call your family weekly. You spend so much time messaging people on facebook. The experience seems like it has declined, lining up with a lot of society feeling it has gone down in value.

I know this is anecdotal, but I work with a young girl leaving on a mission in a few months. She has some serious issues (night after night, pushing moral boundaries, she's struggling, she's directionless) and she's going out there just to have something to do. I think a lot of youth are. They treat it like a summer sales experience after high school where they get to live somewhere new. It's just something to do. Something to be able to share on your social media page.


There is no considerable church growth found in the missionary program. There hasn't been in a long time. Study the Book of Mormon. Future events prophesied in it will occur, but this institution is less than it claims to be and it's declining in light.

I am so sorry to hear this but have seen this for the last 15 years at least . but the same is true with many members . . directionless. Time to bring the missionaries home if the wickedness is this rampant.

it is one of the signs of apostasy mentioned in the book the great apostasy . . . there is frustration in the new normal . . but the expectations of our saints growing when offering the words of man is hard but you are right . . . I need to move on with the new normal and just accept it

I think most of us still like attending our local wards and branches. We just seem to be getting a liberal message from Utah Mormons and LDS leaders that makes us concerned the SLC Church has been captured by the spirit of the age. It is more Senator Romney than Senator Lee. More California than Florida.
