Hey Guys,
Got seven minutes?
I found something really cool over on YouTube.
This 91 year old lady demonstrates how to prepare very inexpensive meals that were typical for her family during the Great Depression.
Maybe we will need this information for our families someday.
She not only demonstrates meal preparation, but tells what life was like for people at that time. The 7 or 8 episodes are not only informative, they are truly entertaining.
She is a hoot!
The episodes are best viewed with high speed internet.
Here is the link to the first episode.
Let me know what you think.

My mothers version of the dish; Fry the onions and diced spuds as described. Add one can of veggies, I like asparagus tips, one can of condenced cream of chicken or mushroom soup,1/2 can of milk. Last add egg noodles instead of pasta, let simmer 5-10 minutes and season to taste.

I'm glad you enjoyed Clara.
The other episodes are probably better than the first.
I like hearing her stories like when she had to quit school because she didn't have any socks.
I guess you can tell I'm easily entertained.
But thats a good thing, I guess.
I think it's referred to in the scriptures as "easy to be entreated" or something like that.
Nice blog you have over there.

Charity posted about it a while back, too. I really wish more of the older generation would write things down. It was so sad working with the elderly and watching them lose those memories! Of course, some of the impressionable things stuck and when dementia set in we got to hear lots of those ones.
