It's most likely a Fitbit. Most people I know wear them on their ankles.

I also think it is a fitbit or something like that. I have always been under the impression Elder Bednar is into health and such.

Not many places use bracelets anymore. Where I live and all the surrounding counties they just us an app on a phone. It monitors where the phone is and requires checking in via biometrics at random times.

It's probably so the First Presidency can keep tabs on him and make sure he doesn't sneak off to teach the saints to have enough faith to not be healed, lol.
I mean, that was embarrassing enough the first time.

He is, by far, probably the most iFit apostle. Renlund seems to be giving him a run for his money.MikeMaillet wrote: ↑August 11th, 2022, 3:08 pmProbably got it from the iFit Apostle.Reluctant Watchman wrote: ↑August 11th, 2022, 2:20 pm It's most likely a Fitbit. Maybe he's joined Opus Dei?
Or because they fear he might be swapped with another David?

Note it is on his "left" leg............ is that like an earring in the left ear? Not sure what that means either but it must mean something to someone.

Re: Why is Bednar wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet?
I don't think that's a Fitbit. Here's a quote from thegadgetbuyer.com on that,
If that's an ankle monitor I'm mystified why and how. Wearing one is always a legal matter as far as I know and for a Q12 member it seems someone would report on that unless it's for an ongoing investigation like the Utah County pedophilia investigation. Personally, I wonder if it's a medical device of some sort. You can wear a Fitbit on your ankle. However, the Fitbit is for your wrist. So while it's possible to use your Fitbit on your ankle, you will get inaccurate readings and miss out on a lot of the Fitbit's features if worn on your ankle. Fitbit assumes that it will track your steps and heart rate through the wrist.

I walked by Elder Bednar outside while not wearing a mask about two years ago. If glares could kill, I would have been dead a couple of times right then. I don't know if I've ever felt so much anger from one person before.

Well, you were murdering grandmas by breathing fresh air, so who wouldn't be angry?

In case you're wondering about the Opus Dei ref. Opus Dei are an ultra Roman Catholic grouping. They often wear a "cilice" on their leg (pictured). As featured in the Da Vinci Code

Sarah is 43, single and celibate — and determined to remain so. Each night she fastens a wire chain, known as a cilice, around her upper thigh. The device has sharp prongs that dig into the skin and flesh, though generally it does not draw blood. To most women, it sounds a peculiarly masochistic practice. Yet Sarah says it serves a very different purpose: suppressing her desires and atoning for her sins

It’s like wearing a pair of pants with a non stretchy waistband. As a reminder to stop eating so much…Niemand wrote: ↑August 12th, 2022, 5:13 am In case you're wondering about the Opus Dei ref. they're too effeminate to wear on my wrist so I put mine on my ankle and it looks exactly like this. Bednar is a bigtime health nut and runner.

Yeah I agree, I think the bulk of exercise for both men and women should be some form of resistance training. My MP knew him really well, said he runs 10 miles a day.Mamabear wrote: ↑August 12th, 2022, 7:13 amHe could stand to gain some weight….
