Feud with Hinckley?
There were a couple times when Hinckley was the President that Nelson gave a talk about something, and then Hinckley gave a talk that disagreed with Nelson’s. The most well-known one was Nelson talking about not using “Mormon” and using the correct name of the church (over 20 years ago) and then Hinckley talking about being proud of the Mormon nickname, and putting it to good use.

And then Nelson threw the entire church under the bus and condemned them for using the term "Mormon" when it was Hinckley and Monson who were to blame.

Lizzy60 wrote: September 29th, 2022, 8:50 pm A Prophet told us that Fort Worth would be getting a temple. There is a LOT of land for sale here. There are very few restrictions on churches being built.

It’s been a year, and no word. I know a lot of people in several of the stakes around Ft Worth, and there are not even any rumors about where or when we will have a temple, the one announced by a Prophet.
Texas Temples history:

McAllen: Announced Oct 2019, Groundbreaking Nov 2020, estimated dedication date mid 2023.
San Antonio: Announced Jun 2001 Groundbreaking Mar 2003, dedicated 22 May 2005
Lubbock: Announced Apr 2000 Groundbreaking Nov 2000 Dedicated Apr 2002
Houston: Announced Sep 1997 Groundbreaking Jun 1998 Dedicated Aug 2000 Rededicated Apr 2018
Dallas: Announced Apr 1981 Groundbreaking Jan 1983 Dedicated Oct 1984 Addition dedicated Mar 1989

Lubbock and Houston were pretty quick, only lasting 7 months and 9 months from announcement to groundbreaking. McAllen lasted 13 months, with Dallas and San Antonio lasted 21 months.

We are at 12 months now Lizzy (and Austin's at 6) Patience.

I think the people in the Ft Worth metroplex just learned a little tidbit about the Ft Worth temple today.

It’s pretty important to the locals on the location, basically north or south of Ft Worth, that it’s built, because getting to one side from the other is a nightmare.

Today they announced a Prosper TX temple. That is north of Fort Worth, but not that far north. So obviously the FW temple will be south. IF. They. Are. Ever. Built.

The April conference of this year saw some similar inconsistencies among the apostles. One talked about the church supporting a law making it illegal for people to discriminate against gays, while another apostle got up and said that homosexual couples do not fulfill God's idea of a family, and therefore could not be married and sealed in the temple. As in one man and one woman. A year or two ago, it seemed that one talk supported American pride and patriotism, along with the constitution, while yet another talk spoke against nationalism or tribalism. Which pride in America and the belief that it is set apart and special pretty much fits that definition.
