I have never heard of any bishopric member checking on someone's tithing reports as part of their interview
Me, either. But I have heard of an apostle doing that. President Kimball checked the tithing records of President Nelson when interviewing him to be a stake president and was incredulous that a surgeon made so little. Of course, President Nelson had recently moved so President Kimball supposedly only had two months of President Nelson's records.

17 states might follow suit?

In the far future, I wonder if they'll conjecture that the present insanity rampant was caused by lead water pipes or mercury poisoning or something in the air?

From the link:
Minnesota’s rules already threaten to saddle dealers with more electric vehicles than their customers will buy, he said, and adopting the California ban would make things worse.
I would hate for my electric car to stop on the expressway on my way home from work in December to February in Minnesota.

Did the Lord command the converts to stay where they are? I haven't read any scripture stating that.

I believe there never was supposed to be temples dotting the Earth. There are only supposed to be a few preparatory temples in the United States prior to the main temple in New Jerusalem. These are the only temples that we know were commanded to be built. All the others? Nothing.
Yep. Only 2 temples were commissioned of the Lord in this era: Kirtland and Nauvoo. He has commanded none since the church rejected him.

It is true that they won't call for your tithing receipts if you are getting into a non-bishopric calling, but they definitely WILL check them for higher callings.

When the Logan Temple was built, John Taylor was given a “thus saith the Lord” revelation wherein the Lord said that He accepted of it.

And where can I find this revelation? It's not in my scriptures.

The Lord has commanded none since the church rejected Him.

Where is your evidence that it's false?
For starters it’s not doctrine.
It very much is doctrine.

I believe doctrine to be scripture based.
Just like when the leaders said, “if you do family history and temple work, it will protect you from temptations, like looking at pornography.”
Or when Russell Nelson said in 2018, to the Africans, “We preach tithing to the poor people of the world because the poor people of the world have had cycles of poverty, generation after generation,….That same poverty continues from one generation to another, until people pay their tithing.”
That is false.
Doctrines of men. There are many more.

A Prophet said the vaccine was a godsend, the miracle we prayed for, and safe and effective.

I will search scripture, and ask the Lord, when I need doctrine.

A Prophet told us that Fort Worth would be getting a temple. There is a LOT of land for sale here. There are very few restrictions on churches being built.

It’s been a year, and no word. I know a lot of people in several of the stakes around Ft Worth, and there are not even any rumors about where or when we will have a temple, the one announced by a Prophet.

Here is the doctrine about covenants that will be made with the house of Israel, (pre and post millennium).

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.“ Hebrews 8:10

“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.“ Jeremiah 31:33

“As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.“
Isaiah 59:20

especially when an LDS prophet said that doctrine spoken by a Prophet is defined as when it is correlated with scripture. I don't have the reference. blah de blah.

according the other definition that doctrine is what an LDS president says it is, then Prophets can never lead man astray, even though every single reference in the scriptures diametrically opposes it. Go figure.

Wow! Exactly! It's insane to require electric cars, especially in areas that have natural disasters that may require people to flee.
