Many people don’t eat meat at all and they are often very healthy.

That's the image vegans promote, but it's just not true.

Do you know what else isn't true and doesn't help? The notorious comma added to verse 13 decades later. A single comma that completely changes the verse to mean you should only eat meat in "times of winter, or of cold, or famine."

Take out the satanic inspired comma and it reads that you should eat meat at all times of the season, which is congruent with the previous verse that says these domestic animals are ordained for our use.

Exactly. Meat is the most nutritious food you can eat.

If ranchers are forced to sell off their cattle

A cattle sell off could be a great momentary advantage for us if we can take advantage of it. A large sell off would flood the market and prices would drop very low. We then step in and buy enough to completely stock our freezers.

If the sell off is spread out though, I imagine prices wouldn't drop much.

The processors control the prices on both sides...and it's a very small group of power-brokers in that space...

...and that's if there is diesel and transportation capabilities...

Your best bet is to grow your own...or live next to one who does...and not be afraid to do your own processing...

Smart to relocate! They've been working on moving the labs from Plum Island to Manhattan, Kansas for over a decade now...

Nobody ever said moving “Plum Island” to Kansas was going to be easy or cheap. But until that move can occur, Homeland Security won’t have its state-of-the-art facility for combating biological threats to the United States. Plans for the lab have been in the works since shortly after 9/11. The groundwork has been laid by government documents, including Presidential Directive 9: Defense of United States Agriculture and Food (January 2004); National Security Strategy for Countering Biological Threats (November 2009); and the Congressional Report, “The Clock is Ticking.” All point to the need for speed in “developing the capability to produce vaccines and therapeutics rapidly and inexpensively.” Now the project has reached a critical point as a second National Research Council report to Congress says Department of Homeland Security plans for the “National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility” (NBAF) proposed for Manhattan, KS are much improved since 2010, but not yet up to snuff. It’s an important distinction because the proposed NBAF is a biosafety level 4 (BSL 4) laboratory, defined as a facility that works with infectious agents that are both dangerous and exotic, can be transmitted by aerosol and are life-threatening in that there are no vaccines or therapies to deploy in the event of exposure. The new Kansas facility is supposed to replace the aged Plum Island Disease Center. Plum Island, a barrier island of the coast of Long Island, NY, has been run over a 60 span by the U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and – since 2003 – Homeland Security. After 9/11, Homeland Security took over landlord and security duties for the USDA scientists who still work there. In 2008, Plum Island was on the list of would-be targets for a U.S. trained scientist with links to al Qaeda. Today Plum Island is more heavily guarded than ever.

The USDA will begin the process of transferring the science mission from the Plum Island Animal Disease Center to NBAF in 2022 after construction and commissioning are completed, Jacques said.

The DHS Science and Technology Directorate is building the facility to standards that fulfill the mission needs of the USDA, which will own, manage and operate NBAF once construction and commissioning activities are complete — currently projected by late summer 2022.

The estimated $1.25 billion project has been in the works for over a decade, with sitework starting in 2010 and construction officially commencing in 2013. Kansas was named as the location for the biosafety level-4 [BSL-4] laboratory in late 2008, which will replace the circa 1954 Plum Island Animal Research Center in New York as the United States’ premier animal disease research installation.

After the committee and other inspectors from USDA give the greenlight, Behnke anticipates they’ll begin sourcing animals for research by the end of 2022.
