Interesting. If there is a war between the successful and the poor and uneducated, then it appears it is starting with the uneducated. I know many wealthy people, and some poor people. The bias for pride starts on both ends, and on both ends are the pure in heart. If you look at America, a few (very few) rich are going out of their way to get the poor and uneducated to rise up over those in the middle. It seems that the fights, riots, BLM, LGBTQ, Covid, vaxes, etc...is massed by the unwise, uneducated and unthinking. I find it pretty wrong that poor point the finger at the rich, or that the rich look down on the poor. Or that an education gap means anything? I don't see it here, in the land of purgatory, may be different in the Land of Zion in Utah? I live in one of the more liberal and worst places that exist (or within 10 miles of it). I don't see righteous or evil on either end but through out. IMO. Again, I say all must participate in the repentance plan every day or risk walking off the plan.

I'm mean no reason to repent every day, no reason to go to church regularly, no reason to have ordinances, no reason to hold on to the iron rod, if we keep it within sight, we can get back and grab it any time? Seems risky to me.

totally agree. . . I do think that the events that you have stated are real and the motivation behind this mess is correct as noted also. Also is assumed is the fact that the different social groups have different agendas which can be pure or motivated by evil.

I think the motives of our GAs were pure. But when dealing with people then sometimes the agendas get confused or changed. As well, even with a perfect plan, like you noted, we all have to keep the iron rod in sight.

so. . . simply put, I think that in our church today, whoever is in charge is right. Even if they are wrong then they are right cuz they re in charge. This is our world today. Same attitude in work, recreation, government, entertainment, school boards, governors, and so on. If you are in charge then you are right. Didn't expect to see it in our "pure" church members.

https://www.thechurchnews.com/history/2 ... -to-repent

“One of the greatest messages of Joseph’s life is his need and his desire to repent and be forgiven,” said Elder McKay. “And then we see it repeated over and over again throughout his life.”
This Church News video, titled “Daily Repentance,” features Elder McKay and Keith A. Erekson of the Church History Department talking about prophets and their reliance on the Savior, who leads The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.“

But…..

“Repentance is a thing that cannot be trifled with every day. Daily transgression, and daily repentance is not that which is pleasing in the sight of God.”
Joseph Smith
