gun ? good semi auto sniper rifle...fnar? m21? help?

Trying to find info on long range sniper rifles both out of box, or custom builds. Some of the forums claim fnar 308 shoots sub moa.

I know tactical rifles builds a sub moa m21.

Any others, etc.

If you know of a good bolt out of box or custom builder I would also consider that.

I tinker with these things. I have an M1A that I've tweaked to be a barely sub-MOA rifle. Took a lot of work, and you have to maintain it pretty carefully.

I've read that the AR-type .308s are pretty accurate without all the tweaking.

I guess you're not interested in bolt guns?

Out of the box it is savage all the way. Remington is coming out with a new rifle that is better though? Have not heard much, but it is like $800.

I know someone that gets 1.5 at a 100 with the ar-10 (rock river I think).

I can pull off a head shot size target consistently at about 450 meters. I am not "sniper" quality. I am good though. I also got an $900 leupold on it. And a $260 after market stock. The optics cost more than the gun. You got to have good optics. Spend some money on it. Don't expect to make 1000 meter shots with a simmons, sorry.
