I lived in Utah from 1970 to 1980, which included my high school years. I moved to Salt Lake halfway into my freshman year from a small town in TX. I never heard bad language in my TX high school, but it was impossible to avoid hearing it at Skyline High in Salt Lake. Immodest clothing, beer-drinking, and teen pregnancy were also common. So no, Utah was pretty shocking 50 years ago.

I’m not surprised that so many people there have embraced the homosexual bandwagon. Friends and family (and people on this forum) say it’s rare to find a street that doesn’t have at least one pride flag, and in June it’s house after house. I am back in TX and I NEVER see a pride flag on a home. NEVER. I’ve been on the lookout for several years now, and have yet to spot a single one.

I really find it sad to see how so much weight has been given to the concept that utah is Zion or that it should, for some reason, continue to be a/the gathering place after so much occurred with and by brother Joseph in the eastern USA. utah is a scourge.
