Only 17 people watched it on TV. It has raised their viewership immensely. Now, five times as many people know about it and 3 of them care.

So you're saying more people are in the audience than watching it on screen? About right.
Probably more nominees in some categories than viewers.
The people do all the important donkey work - you know, "minor" things like music, set design, costumes, make up, the scripts, effects etc... they don't even get their own broadcast anymore. It just sums it up the whole thing. These actors would be no one without thousands of industry workers behind them.

Will Smith is a &#%!. His wife probably made him do it. What a disgrace he’s become.
Candice Owens would agree with you. She had a great, if not blistering, take on the incident:

I showed this clip on my phone to a friend of mine who's a retired amateur boxer, and was a pretty good one, I believe. He hadn't seen this until I showed him, because he doesn't do TV or the internet.
He thinks this is fake.
One thing he noticed is that Chris Rock seems to lean into the slap, whereas he says the natural human reflex is to flinch away, duck or weave etc, or at the very least, put your hands or arms up to protect your face... and that not just boxers do this, but most people do.
I said I'd done play fighting while studying drama at school and knew it was easier to fake slap than fake punch someone (which is harder). I pointed out Smith had played Muhammad Ali in a film years ago, so must have had some knowledge about how to look as if he's hitting someone without actually doing so.
