Most of the older diesel engines will run on most anything from brake fluid to near raw crude. If you live in an area with oil wells, there will be literally millions of gallons stored above ground in huge tanks. The crude in NE Utah has a high wax content, but you can cook that out.

Unless you plan on doing a lot of walking, or have a horse, you should have an older vehicle that does not use an electronic ignition system, like anything in the 70s, and/or a diesel.

Since diesel is a lubricant and gasoline is not, a diesel engine can go literally millions of miles without an overhaul.

Brake fluid is in no way considerable as a motor fuel! Peanut or waste cooking oil, however, can be, as is waste engine oil and transmission fluid. These and crudes must be filtered and pre-heated in most climates for proper atomization.
